Amazing building
May 21, 2026My husband and I recently moved in, and the entire process was very smooth. The building has amazing amenities, including a pool, gym, sauna, and more. Everyone in the building has been very kind, welcoming and helpful. We love our apartment, especially the beautiful view. May 21, 2026Living at 65 Bay Street for the past three years has truly been a wonderful experience. The entire staff was always pleasant, professional, and quick to help whenever any issue came up. The building itself is gorgeous, and the upkeep and maintenance are consistently excellent. I especially want to recognize Candice and Patricia in the staffing office. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our time there, and I’m genuinely grateful I had the chance to get to know them. We ...only decided to leave because our family is growing and we needed to save a bit more financially, but overall this has easily been my favorite place I’ve lived in the tri-state area. Do not recommend - poor management
May 20, 2026It feels sad to write this review as we have lived at 65 Bay for almost 5 years at this point. But with a noticeable decline in effort in making this a nice place to live, as well as a disgraceful attitude to residents, I would no longer recommend this building to anybody. Management/Communication - Every time someone in this building communicates with you (except for the concierge staff who are amazing), they act like they are doing you a favor. There is no customer service whatsoever from Erin ...or Eva. No proactive communication when something is broken. Always last-minute emails or blanket statements to cover up whatever is wrong. When they do reply, they are rude, not customer-focused and have an attitude. This building is not exactly cheap. We received 100x better customer service when we lived in other properties and paid a fraction of the rent that we pay now. I find it baffling that something simple, like sending an email ahead of time, being transparent and honest or just being a nice person is so difficult for this team. It seems a very fixable thing, but hey, what do I know? Hot Water - This building has a long-standing issue with hot water. Just google “65 Bay Hot Water” and you will see mentions of it all the way back to 2018. This problem got notably worse last year. We had intermittent or no hot water pretty much every day, as did many others in the building. I understand they eventually completed a mass replacement of valves on each floor. What did they offer after almost a year of unreliable hot water? $30. Yes… $30. It still isn’t perfect now. In busy periods, expect to run your faucets or shower for 5 minutes before they’re usable. The amount of water this building must waste is off the charts. Maintenance - Day to day maintenance tickets used to be generally fine, but they have reduced staffing in this team and there is a noticeable drop-off in responsiveness. The elevators have been less reliable in the last year (but they were happy to blow money on replacing the floors and installing scent diffusers in them) and the temperatures in the lobbies on each floor is unbearable due to broken AC. Outside, this building is almost entirely surrounded by 3 construction projects. Two are in progress, and one is about to start. Pretty soon, this building will not be able to trade off of the NYC views. The other benefit is a busy street where people will try to run you down every time you cross. Stay away!!
March 4, 2026Extremely poorly managed building. Hot water is unreliable, and the water is frequently shut off for repairs with little to no notice. Communication around these shutoffs is terrible and leaves residents scrambling. Elevator repairs often lead to long wait times and one or two elevators being down at the same time. True maintenance emergencies are dismissed, and getting anything fixed requires repeated follow-ups. If you have plumbing problems you’ll be told to use the bathrooms on the amenity ...floor. Persistent noise problems have gone unresolved for months, despite repeated reports and complaints to management. On top of that, construction is set to begin this summer on 5+ high-rise buildings surrounding the property, which will likely make noise levels even worse. Very frustrating experience and absolutely not worth the rent.Property Manager Responded

The suggestion to use amenity floor bathrooms for plumbing issues is certainly not ideal and we apologize for that. We know how crucial a peaceful living environment is, and we failed to address this adequately. We also acknowledge your concern about the upcoming construction surrounding the property, and we understand how this compounds the existing noise issues. AWFUL ! DONT MOVE HERE!!!!
January 12, 2026This is the worst “ Luxury” building I have ever lived in …… we have not had consistent hot water in months , our toilet constantly breaks. Property management is awful. They are condescending and do not care about their residents at all in any way. We consistently write emails asking for our hot water and appliances to be fixed as well as work orders to be placed and the issue still remains not fixed !!!!!!! I don’t understand how they can treat their residents this way ….Property Manager Responded

August 19, 2025Former tenant (Sept 2023 – July 2025). Move-out was awful: damage fees with no real proof, and even an admitted rent overcharge from late 2024 was never refunded. Most concerning: for something as important as the security deposit, management claimed it was mailed, but never provided us with any tracking, check number, or notification.
