f This Is the Application Process, Beware the Lease

Very disappointing experience with both 777 S. State Apartments and its management company's processing team. If the application process is this disorganized and unprofessional, it raises legitimate concerns about how residents are treated after they sign a lease. The applicants were relocating cross-country and applied in good faith, providing all available documentation. Due to unrealistic deadlines over a weekend, their employers could not meet the accelerated demands for income ...
verification. At no point was a cancellation requested. The leasing office advised that if documentation could not be obtained in time, the application would simply be denied and fees refunded. However, the processing department later provided contradictory information, attempted to classify the matter as a "cancellation," and retained the fees. To make matters worse, an unnamed representative from the processing team refused to identify herself, berated the applicants for not answering calls while at work, criticized them for not producing documents immediately, and expected a military guarantor to provide confidential financial information with less than an hour's notice. The entire process was marked by conflicting information, unrealistic timelines, and unprofessional treatment.

It’s an old building. If you complain about the lack of water (hot or cold) they will tell you the building is old and that you shouldn’t shower, cook, etc during busy times of the day. Busy times are apparently all day sometimes. Heat and water were out for over a week in Jan due to pipes and management just told people to buy heaters. Gets extremely hot in the summer (100+) until the air is on. Management just tells you to get a fan. That’s if management responds at all to emails and calls.

Cons: - VERY inconsistent water (sometimes doesn't run) from the kitchen to the shower - they have 3 elevators and you can end up waiting up to 5+ minutes on one - the apartment gets extremely hot like a greenhouse with no way to cool it down aside from being able to open a window ~4 inches - the gym and its equipment are trash, - the lobby always smells like garbage especially on ...

Unless your goal is to live in hell AVOID this place. If I could leave 0 stars I would. First as mentioned before the AC situation in the summer is AWFUL. The actual vent is so full of dust and dirtiness that id you are even slightly asthmatic this would be an issue. The package situation has gotten worse with new rules implemented at the whim of the staff without any prior warning. Laundry room is DISGUSTING. The machines are either broken or dirty beyond use. The dryers same situation, with ...
some just NOT heating UP. The elevator situation is awful, if you are unfortunate enough to try to get to your apartment when someone is moving in or out the wait times for an elevator can go up to half an hour of you just waiting for an empty one.

My building is pretty nice I live on the 15th floor and my building has a pool & a tech center! It's close to my school and has free wifi it's honestly great! Only problems are the small bedrooms and the elevators are really small and take so long! Also I don't like paying for laundry.

I walk through the front doors and enter the lobby, there awaiting to sign in our 4 pretty girls, I tip my cap to them as I proceed through another door towards the elevators. It is a quick shot to the 14th floor where I arrive to my door and enter my home. It is slightly hot and these AC blares from the wall behind me.
