A Wonderful First Home Together at 82 Flats
July 11, 2025I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m genuinely excited to share our experience at 82 Flats because it was such a great one. My fiancée and I lived here for a year—our first apartment together—and it quickly became a special place for us. In fact, we got engaged while living here, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts! The location is one of the biggest perks. Being in the north side of Indy meant we were close to everything we needed—great restaurants (District Tap was our ...go-to!), shops, and other conveniences, all within close proximity. Yet, the community still feels tucked away, safe and peaceful. The complex itself is well maintained and does live up to its “luxury” branding. The grass is regularly mowed, common areas and hallways are kept clean, and at night, the building has a cozy charm with all the balcony lights. Our unit was clean, comfortable, and felt like home from day one. Most importantly, what really set 82 Flats apart was the exceptional management and maintenance team. In our experience, this is often a pain point in apartment living—but not here. Everyone in the leasing office was friendly, responsive, and truly seemed to care about residents. Whenever we had concerns, they were addressed promptly and professionally. One example that stands out: when our A/C unit stopped working in the middle of summer, they tried to repair it but quickly determined it needed to be replaced. While waiting for the new unit to be approved and delivered, they installed a temporary window unit to keep us comfortable. We were really grateful for that. Lastly, If I had to point out a couple of minor downsides, I’d mention two things: First, we wished there were longer walking paths or a secure outdoor area for dogs. Second, the delivery situation could be confusing. Because there’s another apartment complex next door, delivery drivers often had trouble locating the right building. The package room can also be tricky to locate if you’re not familiar with it. We eventually added detailed delivery instructions and asked for items to be left at our door, which helped a lot. We recently moved downtown to be closer to work, but we still find ourselves missing 82 Flats sometimes. We just received our full security deposit back with no surprises, which was the perfect end to a great rental experience. We highly recommend 82 Flats to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and well-managed community in a great location!Property Manager Responded

Likes: - pool area - community: Nice people and management - apartment events - The maintenance team is very helpful/efficient - Great area/location tucked back behind the strip - Walking distance restaurants Dislikes: - Trash Valet services: they are inconsistent in picking up the trash and often miss days. This is a third-party company where 82 Flats management does not assist in communication. - Trash compactor is often broken - The gym is very small and the ...air conditioning doesn't really work - thin walls and floors - No smoking / Drug policies are enforced (hallways smell like smoke etc.) - limited parking - car break-ins - quiet hours are not enforcedProperty Manager Responded

Great location

82 Flats is a great place to live!
November 20, 2022I have lived here with my son for about 5 months now and we both love it here! The staff is amazing! They are very friendly and accommodating. No matter what the issue, they address it immediately. The property at 82 flats is very well taken care of and beautiful. My favorite feature is the pool for the summer. The property also has a gym, coffee bar, conference room, and much more. There are a lot of extras and little touches in the apartments like the crown molding, granite counter ...tops and wine fridge that make the apartment feel like home. The community at 82 flats was something I didnt expect. The residents are all so great and welcoming as well. I never imagined you could have such a close community in an apartment . I had lived in a house for 15 years and was really worried about going back to apartment living but if I have to be in an apartment this is definitely a gret choice.Property Manager Responded

About 82 Flats
November 18, 2022The surrounding area of 82 Flats is what (in my opinion) makes 82 Flats. You do not have to travel far for anything. Restaurants, shopping malls, groceries, movies. Everything is right there on that main strip & some can be even in walking distance if it became one of your favorite spots. 82 Flats is a beautiful community of people that live there & the office staff are some of the best 3 people to know. I love the shebang about it & the newly wife & i are enjoying it. Great place to live!Property Manager Responded

I highly recommend 82Flats
November 8, 202282 Flats is one of the best apartment complexes in Indy. . The apartments are very nice and up-to-date and they have very nice amenities. The maintenance and office staff are super professional and very responsive, and I've had no problems since moving 2 years ago. I gave them 4 stars because the rent prices are pretty high, but all-in-all I have no other complaints. I'd recommend 82 flats to anyone looking for an apartment in Indy.Review from Apartments.com
Best Complex!
November 8, 2022Kit Stroke My boyfriend and I have lived here since the end of September. It honestly has not been a bad experience so far. All the staff is REALLY nice and any issues we have had gets fixed fairly quickly. Our hot water went out and was fixed within 24 hours! We have an elevator in our building and that has been wonderful to have with being on the 4th floor. I do wish that parking was a little bit better, but truly that is my only complaint.Review from Apartments.com
Great apartments in North Indy
November 8, 2022Pros: Parking - two parking lots are tow free zones, literally right next to the complex (only grass divides the two lots). We have had friends over multiple times with no issues. Staff - Office staff are attentive and answer your questions. Also the maintenance team is quick and professional. Fast repairs - AC had some issues the first week we moved in. Within 1 hour it was fixed. Amenities - Pool and gym are clean, well kept. A carwash and dry cleaning are also available onsite.
