DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
November 24, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comI would do 0 stars if I could. The whole building is a dumpster fire, building management is horrible, and the maintenance team is either rude or unresponsive. Fire alarms are faulty and go off all the time, including a recent record of 15 times in one night! Nearly all of the laundry machines are broken, and when I asked the management team to look into it, I was told it was my responsibility to deal with the 3rd party laundry company. Im not sure what they are doing in that office, but it ...sure as hell isn't managing the building. I will be moving the second my lease expires.Read More
Extremely poor living conditions since new management
October 29, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comSince the new management took over, living here has become a constant inconvenience. Water supply is interrupted almost every week—sometimes twice a week. There is no justification to that, all they have been doing is repairs since last 3-4 months. Surprisingly, we never had this problem before the new management. God knows what they are repairing! The concierge service is now limited to just 4–8 PM, making it nearly useless for most residents. Maintenance is another nightmare. Requests often go ...unanswered for two weeks or more, and when you do manage to reach someone, the staff are unhelpful and rude. Their office phone is always on hold, so the only way to get anything done is by visiting them in person. The building itself is poorly maintained—elevators are still pending inspection since June 2025. Utilities have been unbundled from the rent, yet we still don’t have individual climate control in our apartments. They control heating and cooling centrally, turning on air conditioning in May and shutting it off by mid-October, regardless of weather. To top it off, laundry prices were raised immediately after the management change—from $3.50 in Oct 2023 to $6.00 now per wash/dry cycle. There are also no amenities—no pool, no gym, no workspace—despite these ongoing increases. While rent might seem cheaper compared to nearby buildings, the overall living experience is frustrating and uncomfortable. It genuinely feels like management is trying to drive out current residents by making conditions unbearable. To be honest, the rent isn’t that cheap than other buildings. BEWARE- ITS FALLING APART!
July 14, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comConcierge service is horrible by morning attendant Mon-Fri. Several pipe bursts, water leaks, dirty hallway carpet. Rodents, roaches…. No pool. The rental office staff lack professionalism -Lisa, Nikki & Turner. This place has drastically declined. I lived her for 2 years it became an embarrassment to even have guests so I left this year. Btw parking is a astronomical fee for under the building- its their way of making up for not being able to keep occupancy. BEWARE!
Old air conditioning system - very hot
May 1, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comThis building has an old air conditioning system where the entire building can only be set to heating or cooling. The switch from heating to cooling will not occur until May 6th at the earliest despite the consistently warm weather for weeks. These apartments seem to trap heat too and as of writing this it is 80F in my apartment at 9:36PM. There is no heat coming from my a/c unit or anywhere else. It has been like this for weeks - consistently in the upper 70s or even low 80s all day and night, ...especially if it isn't windy. This is particularly frustrating because last year the switch to cooling was scheduled for mid-April, but was delayed to late April due to cold weather. We received multiple communications about this delay and it was no big deal since we had cool weather anyways. This year we have had pretty consistently warm and humid weather for weeks, and the only communication we've had was the recent announcement about the switch to cooling on May 6th. The announcement did not even mention any delay. What clearer way is there for a property manager to demonstrate that they don't care about their residents? I voiced concern about this about 10 days ago through the apartment's app, but no response was received. Hopefully some negative reviews about this will encourage management to prioritize its residents' comfort over whatever was prioritized instead this year.Read More

Management is unresponsive, rude, and neglectful. They charge extra fees for online payments, delay turning on AC, and closed the pool but still advertise it as an amenity. Packages are a nightmare—reception is slow and unhelpful. During a late-2024 heatwave, they switched to heating early, and my apartment hit 88°F—I nearly fainted. The new management company disabled online payments, refused to turn on the air conditioning until mid-May and permanently closed the pool for no apparent reason. They have no website, no point of contact, and no online system for submitting maintenance requests. All they have done is removed the previous ownership's branding. This used to be a gem. You get what you pay for
April 10, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comThis is an inexpensive apartment for the location which is great however you are getting what you pay for. It is an old building with insects. You can only use either heat or AC and the building decides when in the year you can switch. Walls are very thin, you can hear the neighbors conversations. Also windows are very thin, you can hear everything going on outside. Parking pass is extremely expensive.

The building allows smoking, so my neighbor’s cigarette smoke seeps into my apartment, which is a serious health hazard. My throat is constantly irritated living in this building, and management has done very little to help me ask the neighbor to smoke outside. Their solution was to to put tape on my air vents (probably also another hazard) and spray air ...freshener, which has not helped.Read More

The building is very secure and I always feel safe which is a top priority for me when looking for a place to live. The front staff are welcoming. Carlton in the leasing office has been really helpful and friendly from my first time touring the apartment and through out my lease! Would recommend living here!

It is not a brand new apartment building, the elevators are out dated, but company has been renovating the building to make it feel new. Things work, and for the price of the location you can’t beat. Maintenance is on site, friendly and knows your name. The front desk staff gives you a sense of home by their friendly service. August 10, 2016 - Review from Apartments.com8200 used to be a gem but that couldn't be further from the truth now. The staff, for the most part, is rude and unfriendly compared to the lovely staff they used to have a few years ago that all were fired (my guess is they were fired to make room for staff they could pay less for.) When you get on the elevators, you're unsure if it will actually move, and if it does move you're unsure if the door will open to let you out. You can only have visitors if you're willing to go up and down the ...elevators (that don't work) to get them at the door to let them in yourself. The 24 hour front desk is no longer located at the entrance that everyone uses (they changed this without notifying residents). I'm embarrassed to have anyone come in through the lobby that has been under renovation for the past year with no signs of them completing it. There is apparently asbestos and the notification we received was backdated 2 weeks earlier and management has ignored repeated attempts by residents to understand why this is so. There is now 2 areas blocked off with what looks like garbage bags (from floor to ceiling) and danger signs, however this area was wide open for the past year. Management will not explain why it was safe for it to be open for a year and now it is not. I no longer would recommend 8200 to any friend or family member.Read More

July 17, 2016 - Review from Apartments.comI have lived here about 1,5 years and I enjoyed living here, although many things can and should be improved. Upon arrival (long time ago) I had to chase the leasing office to get appointments and to get the paperwork done while you would expect the opposite. After moving in the AC starting leaking a few times and the pool was broke a few times, but all not major issues. Some other things that you might want to take into account: - The carpet in the hallways is not in a very good state anymore ...and defo needs replacement. - The construction in the basement is taking long, but should be finished before the end of the year. - Fast maintenance response if something is wrong in your apartment - 24/7 lobby service with nice personal Overall, if you can handle a bit of error and trouble sometimes this is nice place to live. Especially when working at Walter Reed or NIH.Read More
