I’ve been living here for 7 months now, so I think it’s time to leave a review. I moved from Atlanta for work and signed my lease blind. I knew nothing of Seattle beforehand. Honestly I’d give the experience 1 star, but the staff members here are solid. The maintenance man is awesome, and he deserves a raise. Outside of the staff, this place is absolute chaos. It’s a budget friendly apartment so there are going to be issues, but that doesn’t mean that the residents have to conduct themselves ...
poorly. I’ve had so many packages stolen from the “secure” mailroom that I don’t even bother to have anything delivered anymore. My neighbors are in a one bedroom unit, yet there are at least 3-4 grown men that spend nights there. They’ve had violent arguments and fights in the open patio area, one of which resulted in a completely shattered patio window. One of the guys in that unit screams loudly and thrashes around almost nightly around 2-3am. I don’t even bother to report the incidents anymore. The complex offered to move me to another unit…if I signed an additional 12 months contract and paid another security deposit. Why would I reward them with a new lease if I don’t feel safe? My unit constantly smells of weed, and the daily emails reminding the residents not to smoke in the units seem to be very effective!….they really might as well stop sending them out. Either enforce the rules or why have them? Makes no sense. In addition, this area in general is god awful. Drug addicts line the streets around the community. They have easy access to the bottom floor units, and I’ve found them staring into my patio window a few times now. The elevator close to my unit has been broken for basically 5 of the 7 months I’ve lived here. It’s essentially unusable. Lastly, parking in Seattle is expensive everywhere, but $300-350 to park is a bit much in my opinion. Counting down the days until my lease is up. Please do yourself a favor, and spend the extra money on a better quality apartment complex. Avoid 900 Rainier if you have the means
