If I could give zero stars, I would. Abbey Apartments at Four Lakes has been an absolute nightmare to deal with, especially Tabitha Leiber the area manager for Eagle Management, who is far from professional. During our time at 5550 Abbey Dr., Apt. 3B, we endured ongoing mold and water damage issues that were never adequately addressed, despite repeated attempts to resolve the situation since November 2023. We even had a professional mold test conducted, which confirmed the problem, but management ...
failed to take proper action.
In addition to the mold and water damage, there were extended periods without heat, air conditioning, and even warm water. The elevator often didn’t work—or simply went out for days at a time—making it unsafe and inconvenient.
We finally had to vacate the apartment two months early due to these unsafe conditions, after providing proper notice on 8/27/2024. Despite leaving due to valid reasons supported by evidence, management has now attempted to collect rent for the remaining lease term. This is despite the fact that the apartment was immediately listed for rent, rented to a new tenant, and occupied soon after we left—something (collecting dual rent on one unit) that is illegal under Illinois law (735 ILCS 5/9-213).
This property is poorly managed, unsafe, and unethical in its practices. I strongly advise anyone considering Abbey Apartments at Four Lakes to look elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration and stress.
These photos were taken after the issue of water pouring into the bedroom from fourth floor balcony and had supposedly been fixed—but only after months of ongoing water damage. By that time, mold had already developed in and on the walls. We went to the office weekly to follow up on when they would return to properly repair the hole and foil covering, only to be met with dismissive responses like, "Well, is it leaking now?"

I lived here for 2 years without a single problem. Sure there were some bumps in the road but everything got done in a timely manner. when I happened to move in the fridge had broke on me, I called the main office with in hours one of the maintenance guys came to investigate. They inspected the fridge to make sure it wasn't my fault, and after a thorough inspection they decided that it was not my fault and replaced the fridge with in hours.

My fiancée and I took a look at all the apartments in the Lisle area, we made the mistake of looking at The Abbey Apartments first. This place is literaly like living in a resort. We have four pools, ten volleyball courts, four tennis courts, a ski hill (in the winter), disk golf course, a yummy pub (Basecamp), access to paddle boats and canoes, fishing (no license needed) , beautiful hiking trails to all of this and more. building. the few times i needed maintenance they were here the same day. The managment are friendly and a lw as ys willing to help. The hallways are always clean. There are surveillance cameras. The apartments are virtually sound proof. I recomend living here to anyone looking for something nice and affordable. I could not think of a nicer place to live.

Abbey apartments are located in a beautiful forested area. The apartment has a brick wall and fireplace located in the living room. The wall Staff is friendly and attentive. All my problems have been address within a day.
The apartments have free access to the four lakes accommodations. These include four pools, sand volley ball courts, paddle boat rentals, and a free season pass to the ski hill on the property. The volley ball court are usually pretty loud but they are far enough away from the ...

You will be shocked at the one-man-maintenance "staff", constant flooding from the severely aged plumbing, and charged for the poor construction you will be blamed for upon moving out. I happily lived at Abbey Apartments at Four Lakes for 2 years, with multiple floodings, appliance repairs, and several other maintenance issues until I moved out and was charged hundreds of dollars for their countertop having a slight lean. Facing the woods an arena of beautiful birds and serenity, this place is a year round postcard of the changing seasons. Because I am located on an end unit on the first floor it affords me privacy and solitude.
