Would not live here
February 8, 2022Abbotts Run needs a lot of work. It is very dirty, when my boyfriend moved in we had to mop the floors 3 times before it was clean, his roommate didn't even have a bedroom door, and his room had a broken window. In addition the roach problem is terrible and seems to be a common trend based on other reviews. They made some updates in the clubhouse and other common areas but the units themselves are not great. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
July 8, 2019PLEASE READ!!! Do not be like me and waste your time with the office staff. I showed up early for an appointment at 10:00. Was told 3 days ago that there was an available apartment for rent, so I decided to drive and see it. Got the tour, things looked fine. Trash, cigarette butts, etc in breezeway, but something I could consider "the norm" for apartments in the area. Left to get paperwork, and returned to fill out leasing application. After the application was complete, things became more ...transparent that I needed to wait on someone else's application to fall through in order to apply. They told me that the other applicant had until 3:30pm, and if nothing changed, it would be mine. 3:30 came and went, and I heard nothing until after 4:00 when I finally called them and waited on the phone for over 10 minutes until I was finally told that I could complete the application. All in all, I spent 7 HOURS working with them, time that could have been spent at other locations finding a new home. After another hour, I complete all the necessary paperwork, and ask when I could move in, and was told it was a week after my anticipated move in date, which was discusses MULTIPLE times. I explained all of my frustrations to the property manager and leasing agent, who admitted her mistake, however I was denied a refund of my leasing application. How is this right? The manager said she would try to get approval. I was like a puppet for everything they asked/needed all day, and this was how I was repaid. I guess the staff is too busy listening to Harry Potter music, eating chips and leaving the crumbs all over paperwork and their desk, and talking about the local Domino's wait time to check on important things like MOVE IN DATES!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Dirty place
January 10, 2019This place is nasty in every way. Dirty roaches dirty spit outside your door dirty BATHROOM you dont want to shower in. Broken door that had been broken into and never fixed. Dirty to take your $ lived there 4 months and was charged 250 4 full paint and 150 for cleaning. Staff sucks especially jessica the manager. They charge you 4 roach spray water garbage separately. November 5, 2018If I could give zero stars then I would have. This apartment complex is not luxury like they state, but makes living in a dorm seem like 5 star hotel. There has only been problem after problem living her. If you like having thin walls, appliances that hardly work, ridiculous charges and for the water heater in your apartment is leak every couple weeks or so even if they have come and "fixed it". Each apartment also comes with a family of roaches and there only way of fixing it is giving you a ...couple day notice before they fogg your apartment. I do not recommend someone living here. May 15, 2018This complex is by far one of the worst places I've lived in. The maintenance slacks on getting things done in a timely matter. Management refuses to address their HUGE roach infestation, and my roommate and I see on average eight cockroaches a day (I wish I was exaggerating). Our apartment was humid, not clean, and has MOLD. I've put in multiple requests to resolve this issue and were leaving in August, and there are no signs of it getting fixed beforehand. There have been two attempts of a ...break in here, and when I made the staff aware of the issue, one said, "Security was not in our budget this year"...seriously? Don't. Rent. Here. April 21, 2018I am extremely disappointed in this apartment complex. My husband and I have been perfect tenants here for almost a year now. We found out that my father was diagnosed with cancer and left to see him and missed the chance to turn in our 60-day notice. Rather than being understanding, they are forcing us to pay an extra month’s rent due to us turning in our notice a few days past the deadline.
