April 8, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comThis has been the worst living experience I have ever had. The management team is, without question, the most disorganized and unprofessional I have dealt with. Their processes are poor, communication is inconsistent, and tenants are placed at a disadvantage as a result. I strongly recommend documenting everything and maintaining your own records, as management does not reliably track or honor their commitments. I was explicitly promised one free month of rent, which I never received because ...management claims they “lost” my money order—after I had already moved in. That issue was never properly resolved. Additionally, I provided valid renter’s insurance at move-in, yet I was charged monthly for renter’s insurance regardless, including charges that continued after my move-out date. Getting those charges removed required repeated follow-ups and unnecessary effort. To make matters worse, I am now receiving messages stating that I failed to return my keys, despite physically handing them in as I exited the building for the final time. This pattern of mismanagement, incorrect billing, and false claims is unacceptable. Overall, this management team is extremely difficult to work with, unhelpful, and unreliable. I would strongly caution anyone considering living here to proceed carefully.Read More
Loud music and drug dealers
November 6, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comDon't move in this building we have drug dealers hanging in front of the townhouse. Shooting every other month the only time the police protect the building when someone gets killed. The rental office workers walk pass every day as see the issues and don't care. The maintenance ie terrible. They send a note about loud music at 10 pm but it's always a concert going on outside until 2 or 3am with a crowd of people who don't live around here. The security only walks around the inside of the building ...and if you want to fell secure this is not the place at all people can steal your packages at any given time run and continue to run don't move in this building you will regret it honestly.Read More

August 3, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comDo not believe what you’re seeing in these reviews. Management can’t or won’t evict the bad apples. In this 12 story building the trash chutes are piled up to the 11th floor. As of today there has been two shooting outside the building in a single week. M street is an open air drug market. Management shuts down resident pleas to take any action whatsoever to amend the problem. I don’t know why this place has such good ratings. It’s truly abhorrent
Unethical and unsafe
November 16, 2023 - Review from Apartments.com2M was a great apartment when I first moved in. Then they were sold to the new owner and everything went down hill. I had signed a lease renewal when it was first sold and never got the bonus for staying on (they told me it would come through over and over, but never did). Then "incidents" started happening. Glass in the pool, arrests around and in the building, fire alarms going off constantly, the smell of weed and cigarettes permeating through the vents and walls. I would call and the phone ...would say no one was available. When my lease was up a second time, I did not renew. I cleaned my apartment and made sure it was spotless before turning in my keys. I didn't hear back from them in the 45-days they have to give me my security deposit back. I called, I emailed (apartment, someone who works in the leasing department, and the company), and I dropped by but everyone was "out" when I would drop by. I never heard back. Do not rent here. It has gone down hill. They will respond to get you in but will take your money and never contact you again.Read More

Suffice it to say, unsafe, badly maintained, loud and inconsiderate tenants, and terribly managed. I lived here for five years because it IS slightly cheaper than other buildings nearby, but ultimately left the neighborhood completely because my experience at 2M was so bad.

Many of the residents who live here are flat out rude and have no respect for their fellow residents. I feel for the cleaning crew and other staff members here who are subjected to certain peoples' behavior. There are much better options in the area. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.

The staff does all it can to keep the area clean and well-maintained although the amenities cannot last the abuse they suffer from "unaccompanied visitors". I feel for those who work here and for the management but at the end of the day coming home to a place where you can feel both safe and comfortable takes precedence. There have been open fights in the lobby, individuals asking for food ...and or alcohol at the pool area, in addition to the continuous hosting of large parties in the amenity areas that have not been reserved leaving the area trashed. I look forward to when my lease is up and know several others here who feel the same. Come tour 2M on a weekend and see for yourself what you are signing yourself into.Read More

The staff does an awesome job at keeping residents well-informed of anything going on in the building, they also really make an effort to get residents involved in city/neighborhood events! The one-time Pet deposit is AMAZING for pet owners as well. There’s such a great and safe community here!
