NIGHTMARE
February 13, 2026Listen to the reviews, the renovated apartments aren’t worth the NIGHTMARE of a management team. I thought the previous owners were a pain, well now we have a new management company and I quite literally can’t get ahold of them without constantly emailing and calling. Winter has been miserable, we had no kitchen sink for 10 days because the pipes are not installed correctly on the exterior and they froze solid despite dripping water during the freezing temps. This happened to many of my ...neighbors, and I’m assuming many more units, as all of the kitchen sinks are on exterior walls. They refused to come fix it because it was too expensive. We’re on the ground floor, so every time the upstairs floors used their dishwasher or sink, it would back up into ours and we’d have to use buckets to empty out the nasty water. Over the past year, our sink has backed up 3 times and had to have third party plumbers come give a temporary fix, because again the owners won’t approve the actual needed fix. Our apartment is absolutely freezing, there’s a draft from our walk in closet and from the kitchen sink, and the furnace is electric so our comed bill is easily over $300 in the winter months. Our water heater broke and it took them over a week to come replace it, conveniently once I said I would be taking my family to a hotel and they would legally be responsible for the cost, then the replacement happened to immediately show up. I have a baby and have repeatedly reminded them of that when our hot water or kitchen sink broke, that these are necessary services, especially with a young child. We now have water damage in our bedroom ceiling with a crack forming, I immediately informed maintenance, they came and took a look at it and then closed the ticket request without doing anything to fix it. I once again submitted a request for it to be fixed and no one has come. This management team is unbelievably unresponsive and unwilling to take care of their residents. Their automatic response to reviews is laughable because it will take weeks for you to get a response, if you ever even do get a response. June 12, 2025This complex has done nothing but spiral downward since management changed. I’ve lived here 6yrs now, 2 most recent years under new management, constant plumbing issues and lack of response to maintenance requests is the new normal. I had to turn to the village of palatine when a complaint went unresolved for nearly 18months! Even worse, when they do respond to concerns, their go to is the bandaid approach, the root of the issue is never addressed or corrected. I understand and respect that they ...are a business, but I would imagine their profit margin would naturally increase if issues were addressed and resolved initially. Their main concern is making everything look great on the surface in an effort to attract new residents, yet they show zero regard or empathy for the hundreds of people that currently call this complex home.Property Manager Responded

Stay Away at All Cost
February 26, 2024These are old apartments that a fresh coat of paint on them. Within the first two months of this year, there have been two leaks from the ceiling. Another thing to note is if the apartment above or next to you is being remodeled, they will start working at 7am. I expected for management to compensate for said issues and was met with indifference and no solution.Property Manager Responded

Miserable Place to Live
February 11, 2024At first glance, the apartments look nice and the administration is quick to respond to your emails and provide information. Once you sign then lease, however, everything changes and the carelessness of the property managers becomes apparent. It is clearly listed as a lease violation if you smoke inside your apartment, whether it's weed or cigarettes. Many of my neighbors have complained to the administration about weed and cigarette smoke filling their apartments, but they have done nothing to ...stop it. The smoke will seep into your apartment and fill it to the point that it will give you lasting headaches and coughs. Does this sound like a great place to live? Didn't think so. Now imagine complaining for months on end with little to nothing being done to stop it. Imagine coming home to the second-hand smell of weed or smoke every day and not being able to sleep or open your windows (because it's cold). In all, the rules of the property as outlined in their lease is meaningless. Soon enough, Albion will be an all-smoking property after they've driven out the people who just want clean air.Property Manager Responded

Look anywhere else!!!
August 28, 2023Moved in October 2022 and will NOT be re-signing for October 2023. Apartment itself is great, very spacious and love the exposed brick. Until they update them and make them like every other apartment there is. Overall, have had so many problems with the leasing company, maintenance, parking and ongoing construction. It’s terrible. 10/10 do NOT recommend living here.Property Manager Responded

Bad management, couldn’t care less about anything but money
July 10, 2023Management couldn’t care less about you once they have your money. You will be towed during your time living here, I promise you. Prices are gauged and driving the prices of the area up. Gm admitted to being ok with current residents being unhappy to make way for new ones willing to pay upwards of $700-800 more per month than current residents. If you can avoid living here, do so
April 5, 2023The places are spacious but the property management company is terrible. They do not handle work order requests. So nothing ever gets fixed. We were having issues with theft due to the lack of a sufficient lock on our front door and they told us we will just have to wait until they got to it. It has been months and still no lock. We also requested pest control to come as we had squirrels living in our ceiling and outside patio and management did absolutely nothing when we brought this to their ...attention. Then when we went to move out, they completely miss billed us. Thankfully I looked it over before paying.Property Manager Responded

February 27, 2023BUYER BEWARE! Management is unwilling to do anything but take your money. If you’re not buying, they put you to the side. Maintenance is terrible, can take months to get a pest problem fixed. They are trying to force everyone out to renovate. Cuts corners on everything.
