      Lived here for two years, and unfortunately the building was sold to a new company. After increasing rent by about 30%, we moved out. We left the apartment spotless, and then they still kept more than half of our deposit for "cleaning".

    • Rude leasing staff, awful experience

      Very rude leasing agent Alex. I asked to take a look at the available floor plans before we go to see the actual available apartments so that I can understand my options, is this an unreasonable ask? He looked at me with suspicion and disdain in his eyes, and asked “why”, I explained but he kept on asking questions that are not respectful, I was a little annoyed and insisted and then he showed me. He did not take any effort to show me the community but went straight to the apartments and no intro ...
      at all. Answered my questions with single words, or responding with “why” as if I’m a spy from their competitors coming here to steal information from them. Awful experience. I feel pity for the residents living here. Stay away if you wanna live at a place with friendly and good service.

    • Loud doors that slam, weak floors, endless stomping

      Doors are huge and heavy and slam shut that shake the walls in the apartments surrounding. The floors/ceilings are weak so get ready for endless stomping with every step from the tenant above you. Not a place for peace and quiet in your apartment and pricing is high for the dead neighborhood. Construction surrounds complex. Sketchy people living on the street across from the apartment. Not to mention the rent in my apartment is now advertised for $500 more than my lease rental just 6 months ago. ...

      A great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to your needs by being quick to attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean and the maintenance staff rules. The workout rooms are rarely crowded. I love the convenient location and rooftop! I would recommend this place to my friends.

    • I don't know about their quality of the apartment but one thing I know is their pricing is fake.

      I contacted them after I found a specific unit which has reasonable rent price. They said they don't know its availability until 20 days before current tenant moving out (Even though it is available on apartment.com) Also the pricing range is much much higher than what they advertised here. I normally don't leave a comment online, but I have no patience with advertising its fake pricing range.

      Coming home to Alley 24 every day makes me really happy! I'm assuming the management has changed because all of the negative reviews on here are from years ago. I have a one bedroom one bathroom about 670 sqft and an awesome view of lake union for $1685. It's a brand new apartment. The office staff is always really friendly, Taylor helped me and my boyfriend get the apartment and it was so quick and easy! We have 2 dogs and there's a cute little dog park called cascade that usually has kids ...
      playing and we love to play fetch with our pups. I've never seen anything sketchy honestly, the church has a soup kitchen once a week I think but that's the only time I've seen homeless people hanging out. But we live in a city there's going to be homeless/drug users regardless. To wrap things up Alley 24 is a great place to live and we plan on living here for a while. We love the gym and the roofdeck/community room is awesome! Go Hawks!

      OK yes. It is literally an alley that has been cleaned up and has apartments in the overlooking buildings. BUT, the location is excellent. As of the date of this review I can see the Space Needle and Lake Union from one of our rooftop common areas. There are two of those in the complex. The common room in my building is huge with two TVs, a pool table, air conditioning, a barbeque grill, fireplace, full kitchen, office area/conference room, and the roof deck. I was able to see July 4th fireworks ...
      with friends from there this year. I have a small studio but I'm a single guy with no pets. It's all I need. There are many different types of apartments for a variety of budgets. Also the REI flagship store is my next door neighbor and Lunchbox Laboratory is on the first floor. Try the Dork. No, that's not a typo. It's a duck and pork sandwich. The hallways and common areas are cleaned each day and security is commonly seen at night. I've always felt safe. Appliances are new and electricity is CHEAP. I'm guessing because of hydroelectric power? Also the building is wired for Cascadelink high speed internet. I get 100Mbps up and down. When I signed up my service was ready in 1 hour because the unit is hardwired for it. Don't bother with Comcast. Just don't. The staff is always friendly and will accept packages and dry cleaning for you. The parking garage beneath the building is great and will protect your car from weather or whatever else. The place is a quick Uber ride to anyplace in the city. I've been there a little over a year and I'm still enjoying it.

      I love my actual apartment and the complex itself. I do wish we had an office center or a pool, but those are definitely bonuses. The neighborhood can get VERY loud at late/early hours - sirens, talking, LOUD cars (pretty often), and the occasional screaming match between people.

      I recently found the job of my dreams in downtown Seattle, WA. I have been spending 4 hours commuting each day. Even though I am a nurse manager at a retirement center, I couldn't find even a studio apt within walking distance, with-out requiring to make 3 times the rent even to apply. Alley 24 was professional and kind through-out showing and explaining the move-in specifics and had a reasonable( for downtown) rent for one bedroom with small den. Being single there are several nice common ...
      areas to socialize. Views are nice.Most important I feel safe. My apartment has the basics but is my home as I choose to make it. I had to quit my last job to take care of my 80 year old mother last fall after having a total knee replacement and then helped my older sister after she had a stroke before Christmas. Being 60 in January, I would like to put money in a 401K. Also because of the wonderful Alley 24, I am swimming laps at the center then walking a block and one-half home!
