I recently took a tour with Hattie and Taylor and they were absolutely fantastic! I tend to ask a crazy amount of questions and they answered every single one of them. They went above and beyond by showing me more than one unit and a video of another unit not available for showing. The grounds of Alterra is well kept, everything is new and clean. The process to submit an application was very simple and again they accommodate my endless questions. I can NOT wait to move in during the month of June ...

After viewing numerous other apartment complexes, I was truly wowed by what I saw at Alterra Rocky Hill. As I was driving into the property I was surprised at how quiet the surrounding area was. It is conveniently located close to the highway, but it was far enough where you do not hear it at all. The tour I was given by the property manager, Jennifer, was very thorough and she was able to answer all of my questions with ease. The pool, gym, clubhouse and patio area were all beautiful and well ...

We love living at Alterra Rocky Hill. There is a wonderful community feel here. Apartments are beautiful. Grounds and Common Areas are always well maintained. Clubhouse is gorgeous. The staff and management are very accommodating and always willing to help. Maintenance is great. Had an emergency after business hours and the Tim came right out to fix the problem.

I have been staying in this apartments for close to an year now. Find the management folks really nice they address all your service request promptly. As part of the community building there's a party once a month which is nice to know your neighbors. Most people in the apartments are nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a hassle free living.

This is a good apartment complex, the amenities are where they try to justify the price of everything. The apartment layouts are nice enough, but not enough to justify the cost to live here. Unless you have assigned parking, finding a spot can be a roll of the dice; if you are wanting to park close to your building that is. The complex is generally pretty quiet, and has controlled access to each building. All in all, it is one of the nicer apartments in this area, just very high cost for "all ...

I love the compound because the way they built it and the quality of furniture they put in each apartment and it is new. The club house is amazing where you exercise in nice gym and swimming pool and also you can invite your friends in that great place were you happy with the fabulous furniture they provide and you feel like in 4 star hotel but in reality it is your home. I have been living at the Alterra Apartment complex in Rocky Hill, CT for just about a year. I live in a one-bedroom, on the first floor. When I moved in, everything was brand new, which I loved. The kitchen is top of the line - granite countertops, stainless steel refrigerator and microwave and top of the line gas stove. Mine is a handicapped unit, so I don't have a cabinet underneath the sink (which I don't like) and I'm missing cabinet space next to the refrigerator. To hide this open space, I ...
put a chair there so it now serves as a desk. I am in a unit that face the back of the property, so it's very quiet. I've spoken to tenants who face the parking lot and they say it can get very noisy. I encountered a noisy neighbor above me when I first moved in. I complained to management 3 times, and it's gotten a lot better. If the person above does not have area rugs, every little sound can be heard. The pool area is great and gets cleaned every night. But if it's a nice, warm day - especially on a weekend - make sure you get there to claim a chair early, otherwise it gets very crowded. Same goes for the gym - you have to go on off hours in order to get a machine because the gym is very small (two elipticals, two treadmills, a weight machine and a few free weights). I have a gym membership to a gym close by so I only use the Alterra gym if it's snowing. There is a $375 yearly amenity fee which is a little steep, so make sure to reserve the clubhouse at least once for a party/gathering to get your money's worth.
