I’d rather be homeless than live here again
September 19, 2022This was truly the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. 3 management changes and the building sold within 16 months. Nothing ever works, you get to wait 15 minutes for an elevator because they constantly break, and you’ll likely get trapped inside one at some point. Hot tub has not worked since May 2021. Pool is constantly closed and the tile in the pool area is broken and loose. Management sucks they don’t know how to do anything. This is the furthest from “luxury” you will find. Stay Away. Management/Ownership and Building are Horrible
September 28, 2021By any means necessary. This is the extent that the new Grand Peaks management and on-site leasing will go to avoid addressing your concerns, and the extent they will pursue you for money you do not owe them. My neighbors and I have a variety of problems not getting addressed by Grand Peaks at this rundown property in downtown Phoenix, AZ. They include things such as not having hot water at all, not having air conditioning at all, washers/dryers not function well/at all with no compensation, and ...amenities that are consistently broken. The website will get you all excited about moving into this building that opened just over two years ago, but don't make the mistake of doing so. Tenants have one issue after another, and Danielle and Winter that are your onsite "leasing professionals" will not get you taken care of. They promise so much, but don't deliver. My partner has the lease at this property on an 18 month lease, and is stuck here for quite a while longer and the two of us are miserable. Worst high rise in downtown
August 16, 2021You will be disappointed with both the inside of your unit and the overall building experience. During the two months I’ve lived here Grand Peaks management has not taken responsibility for fixing anything. This feels like an overpriced, unstylish dorm room where everything is broken. Inside of unit: dryer is broken. It’s a “known issue” in all units but they refuse to replace it. The balcony door does not seal so I can hear the music from the bars every night -- they “took a look” weeks ago but ...haven’t fixed it. The dishwasher has a layer of scum on the bottom from the previous tenant and doesn’t drain correctly. My unit smells like pot every night but management says they can’t do anything. None of the bathrooms have exhaust fans... Outlets were installed incorrectly and don’t work. Design: Every floorplan feels squashed so they could fit more of these “premium” dorm rooms on each floor. Interior finishes are a weird cheap mix of things like plantation-shuttered laundry doors and vinyl cabinets. The living rooms & bedrooms are small and poorly laid out (can only fit dorm room style furniture), hallways and bathrooms are weirdly large and boxy. Outside of unit: when I signed my lease, they said I would receive a parking spot in the garage but two months later I am still on a “waiting list” and it’s clear that they are lying about having enough parking for residents. I drive in circles looking for spots then it’s a long, hot walk. The building is very unsafe – people break into the garage and steal from the cars. Keys access all floors (not just your own floor like other high rises) and the elevators are busy so people scan their key for the whole group, anyone can walk into the building and get up to any floor. The doorman stays on the roof on weekends (I’m not kidding) to monitor the underage pool parties so it’s not surprising that random people enter and wander through the building. The elevator wait time can be several minutes... Imagine spending 10 minutes parking out in the sun and walking a block back to the building and then having to deal with the elevators next. On my first day I showed up to find no loading zone and the freight elevator is broken. Why wouldn’t they tell me this ahead of my moving day? I had to park in the middle of the street and carry my stuff through the main lobby. A Grand Peaks employee saw and said “Looks like a rough day for a move!” A new 25-story building on the North neighbor lot will block all of the views soon.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE
August 6, 2021This building is seriously mismanaged. The new management company (Grand Peaks) is beyond bad. Not only are they incompetent (alarms in the middle of the night, dirty common restrooms, elevators NEVER working, hot tub that has never worked under their management, etc), but they are extremely unethical and just plain nasty. They simply will never return a call or email. You must trust these reviews: avoid this apartment! I am just living for my lease to end.
