We have lived in Andover Place for several years. This has always been a great place to stay, tucked away far from the main road, it is a peaceful oasis. A good place for families with children as well as young working professionals. There is plenty of free parking which is difficult to find in most apartment complexes. Plenty of place for people to take walks.
The current management team has to be the best we have ever seen. Derek at the office is always very helpful with requests and often ...
simply walks out of the office to solve even minor problems immediately.
Derek is always helping older people to find packages. Once I had to do a drop off for UPS and the box was very heavy. I asked Derek if the UPS truck had come. It hadn’t, so I went to get my cart several floors away in a different building. The truck just happened to come and the driver had no intention of staying for me so Derek rushed to my apartment to tell me to get the cart and that he had stopped the UPS driver. This type of above and beyond helpfulness for residents is truly rare.
Mike at Maintenance is very hardworking and always very prompt in tending to our requests. Overall, Andover Place is a very beautiful community.

Mice infested, rude upper management, dog poop everywhere

Derek and Ryan were absolutely amazing and very professional. Unfortunately the upper management was not. Apartment was infested with mice, and nobody picks up their dog poop.

I have lived here for over 20 years. It's by far the best place in the area. Extremely well managed, clean, quiet, has so many amenities, Gym, extremely large swimming pool with life guard every day. The garden, flowers, landscaping is superb. The management team is nothing short of amazing. The location is on a cul de sac and is quiet and overlooking the Merrimack river. There is the Merrimack trail along the river just behind the building where you can walk, bike, jog. I love this place.

If you love having mice living with you this is a great place. Board of health is involved and they seem not to care. Our son got sick due to mice droppings. Mice were coming out of the stove. Caught 4 mice in 1 night.. the front office is useless and give you the same song and dance. Awful please stay away

I lived here for two years (2018-2020). It’s not a particularly fancy place, but I never felt unsafe. This was the most cost effective option I found for an apartment complex in an expensive area, and I don’t regret the choice. I only had good experiences with management and maintenance, and there were no issues getting my security deposit back.

Severe Mouse Infestation

We lived at Andover Place for 6 years and did not have any issues for the initial 4 years, but over the last 2 years we had to deal with an relentless problem of mouse infestation! Finding mouse droppings all over the house, dealing with the leasing office, setting traps and then waking up to horrible dead mouse stench! Even with all what we could do, the issue persists till today. We finally got tired and had to move. The problem is present in all 3 buildings as confirmed by many of our friends ...

It was also frustrating and insulting when it was insinuated that the issue may be partly because we and others didn't keep the house clean since we have always kept our house and counters as clean as possible. There were holes all over the apartment and all over the building so I don't think this problem will go away easily. I think it is really important that future tenants take this into account when trying to decide if they want to live here.

I have lived in Andover Place for the past three years and the people who have been running the Leasing Office are the nicest and most helpful people we have ever had. The management installed a new Package Concierge system which makes it possible to pick up your packages in case you miss the closing time. rather large box I'm afraid, that she had to carry (I had no idea it would be so few things in such a big box). I was so happy as I needed it that day for my illness. That is not something they have to do, and they were very busy, but she did this after hours on her own time and I was so appreciative.

I have been at Andover place for 22 years. Some of the comments below regarding the previous management are true, but the new management that took over is completely different(180 degrees) and are the best management I have seen.
The apartments and grounds were good to begin with but the new management re-modeled and re-decorated the entire place to a whole new level. It is immaculate. New quality beautiful carpentering and tile flooring. All the hallway walls have been remodeled and painted, ...
and the stairwells; and the common areas are gorgeous. The swimming pool is huge and remodeled brand new with a full time life guard. The gym is now being remodeled and expanded with sate of the art equipment.
If you like a clean, quiet place with beautiful views, washers and dryers in the unit, this is the best place in Andover. Also there is a laundry room on the first floor with large brand new machines, in case you decide to do 5 or 6 loads of laundry at the same time.
A very quiet place with very nice people and beautiful views of the Merrimack river and woods around. Ample parking. They take care of the grounds, beautiful flowers, plants, grass nicely done.
There is a trail behind the premises that goes into the wood along the Merrimack river for jogging, walking, biking. Don’t pay attention to previous / old reviews because the new management has changed everything. They are so welcoming every time you go into the office and they hold your packages in case you were not home when delivered. If anything breaks, maintenance are on the premises 7 days a week, they take care of you very quick.
