      i came in for a tour the other day and the office staff was super friendly and welcoming. benjamin was super helpful and showed me around the community. grounds were maintained and clean. the apartments were cute and cozy. excited to move in next week!

      Three years ago I found myself needing a place in a new state. I searched the area to have easy access to public transportation. I narrowed my search to West Valley and West Jordan area. After touring several properties my decision was made by three factors; one, availability, two, condition of property and third efficiency and service of staff. I graded each one of the properties from scale 1-10 with 30 points possible. Of every apartments complex I toured, there was not one that had a perfect ...
      score until I came to Apartments at Decker Lake which at that time was West Pointe. They exceeded every expectation I had when it came to service. In every situation over the years if I had any request, for example paint to touch up my walls, they are always happy to assist me. I feel like I live in a small community that neighbors get to know each other. I love coming home to my apartment. I know this might not seem realistic but sometimes the customer service you get goes a long way when you have any issues. From other reviews I have read, I'm sure there are issues and I have not been exempt from that but any issues I have had, they have been addressed. Things happen and I understand that. Its when they don't want to do anything that is the problem in renting. That is not the case here. They are always willing to work with residents, put request for services and when I wanted my apartment sprayed for preventive purposes, they told me the service was free as long as I gave them permission to enter. Not everyone has the same experience but for me it has been great. Go in ask for Karla, she is the reason I made my decision to rent here and she is still one of the reasons I stay here. Mitzuko is great too, she has always been nice to me when I cant find Karla in the office. Like I said, I have been here three years here and I'm sure I will be here for a couple of more.

      **Formally known as West Pointe Apartments-Do check out the reviews on their page....it's worth it. I'm so sad I rushed into living here. I can't wait until my lease is up. I have never paid so much for so little. No dishwasher, no storage no washer/dryer in unit and no central air! They also charge for parking even if you don't have a car. No utilities are paid by them. They also charge for the "landscaping/property maintence" monthly. My apartment smells of smoke non stop. It did ...
      since the day I moved in. I even mentioned it during my walk through and their solution was to put in a plug-in airfreshner. When I moved in there wasn't a smoke detector or a lock on my sliding door. I had to request them. Shortly after moving into my "renovated" apartment the pipes in the kitchen AND bathroom started leaking. They also claim to have a gym but it's only open during office hours and has huge windows that face the managements desks-who wants to work out with an audience?! Two times in one month, they left a maintence key in my door. I insisted on my locks being changed after that. Recently they had pest control come out to my apartment(with short notice) to spray for bugs. Since I had no place to put my animals for the day with short notice they agreed to have the pest control only check for bugs and not spray this time. Well when i came home after work the day he came by all my blankets and pillows were pulled off my bed and couch and thrown on the floor. The disrespect for my personal belongings is the last straw!!! I'm out of here!!!! The apartments only saving grace is their maintence man who is super friendly and works hard. Save your money.....you can get so much more with the amount they charge for their "renovated apartments" at another place

      Me and my boyfriend were excited to move here last year!...... Until we got settled in and realized the place was riddled with cockroaches! Having sprayed it ourselves, set traps, and having the mgmt spray, after 6ish months it was down to only seeing a couple every once in awhile. Still so gross. Absolutely no parental supervision in the complex with kids running around screaming ALL day up until 9pm. I've had go out and tell them not to scream RIGHT next to my door :( Kids leave trash ...
      everywhere and parents don't feel the need to pickup after them. A little girl actually drowned in the pool a few weeks ago due to lack of supervision/enforcement of supervision. Now to the contract.... Nowhere in it says anything about a "CAM" fee. Yet we were charged anywhere from $30-$70/month for "reconstruction" of the complex (not a tenant responsibility). We never signed anything agreeing to pay it and their excuse was we made a "verbal agreement" which is in no way legally binding (and never happened). We didn't realize we were paying it till almost the end of the lease. We are wanting to take legal action but move out in 3 weeks. Also water, sewer, & trash is divided between each building. We felt as it was way too high for what we would use. We are careful to conserve! My boyfriends car was broken into the first month we moved in and got his wallet stolen. Then he got two loads of laundry STOLEN after leaving the LOCKED laundry room for 1hr. Shower pressure sucks and my BF has to duck to wash his hair (he's only 5'11"). No practical storage closets. No pantry. Blinds so cheap they broke the first month. Overall would not recommend to anyone I know. Not worth the price! Only nice thing is it's next to the green line trax station.
