After 6+ years, still an excellent place to live!

My family and I have lived at Arcona Strand for over 6 years. I think this fact alone says a lot about its suitability in and of itself, but there’s more…
Arcona Strand and the surrounding neighborhood area are safe and friendly with many amenities including a long walking trail, local shops / restaurants, a park area w/ slide and sandbox for kids, pool and fitness center. The pool w/ grilling venue is dedicated to Arcona Strand residents and the gym shared with the neighborhood (both are free ...
to use). The complex clubhouse is modern, well-equipped for entertaining and available to residents for parties, gatherings, etc. The community is extremely pet friendly. The grounds are always clean, well maintained and well landscaped.
There are also many free events for residents throughout the year including Halloween activities, Christmas tree lighting, Thanksgiving walk, ice sculpture event, Easter egg hunt (with cash prizes and gift certificates), free food truck days, pool parties, and free movies on the neighborhood green.
The walking trails throughout Arcona connect to the Winding Hills park area, which offers 2 playgrounds, basketball courts and multiple athletic fields; all within easy walking distance of the apartment complex.
Many other reviewers mention the train. Yes, it is loud and annoying, but it is also loud and annoying in every other neighborhood and apartment complex (of which there are many) that it transects in the local area. It doesn’t subtract from the value we get by living here.
Finally, I can honestly state that the maintenance team here is phenomenal; without exception ANY time we’ve had an issue it’s been resolved the SAME DAY, often within a few hours of submitting a work order. This includes major appliance issues we’ve had over our 6+ years here: the microwave (replaced same day), dishwasher (replaced same day), HVAC (many issues all fixed same day), clothes dryer (fixed same day), keyless entry (fixed same day) and refrigerator (fixed same day). Maintenance is fast, competent and reliable, bottom line.
The management & office staff are professional, friendly, responsive and helpful. Any issues we’ve ever had got sorted out fast and fairly.
Obviously, we highly recommend living here…the value can’t be matched in the local area; moreover, it’s a worry free place where you can just relax and enjoy life.
