This place is disgusting, with hateful racist, unprofessional staffing. They have zero regard for innocent children. Residents and their families have been kicked out of the amenity spaces simply for being Black. They’ve even called the police on black families for using the amenities. This is not a good place for any personal color. This place is like pre1960s “whites only”. They should be sued.

Well apartments.com, there is currently a video circulating on various social media platforms showing the assumed property Manager, "Sheril Black", harassing a resident and hos sons on the pool side. They were demanded to prove and give i.d. to show proof they have residence there while no other person at the pool was asked for their i.d. and to make situations worse the same woman called the cops on them. I’m relocating from NC to Chicago for work and have been searching for short term housing. The video of the employee harassing the black family was enough for me to never consider this community as a viable option. If existing residents can’t be treated with respect, I certainly have no expectation of living in a safe and respectful community either. Beautiful units, but I will be taking my money elsewhere.

The property looks nice at a glance. What you don't know is that the water has a terrible sulfur smell and does not seem safe to drink. The walls are paper thin and I can hear both my neighbors all day. There is no one to manage the property 24/7. If you have a noise complaint a letter is sent at the management leisure. When moving in the manager stated I could get the keys after hours but there was no one to let me into the secure building to give me the keys. They also allow you to schedule a ...

Half the amenities don’t work most of the time, pool has opened late two years in a row, it is so loud with people above you we have woken up at 3am every single night for the last few months because of the people above us must wake up at that time… we can hear their arguing, dog barking, dog running, toilet flushing, etc. no amount of white noise blocks it out as our walls literally shake. At first when they opened Arden, it was very nice and kept up to a degree. That is no longer the case. The hallways are dirty and smelly, the garage is filthy as it has never been cleaned since day one. The dog waste bins are overflowing. The elevators are so dirty, rarely cleaned. Management is never around. There is one maintenance worker for this massive building. It is nice outside, but there is nowhere to sit. Both courtyards have no furniture.
