I Love The Artisan
June 21, 2017I have lived at the Artisan for 2 years and absolutely love it! The building is always clean, landscaping is beautiful and the common spaces are really well maintained. The management team is always polite and responsive. Maintenance is amazing and service issues are addressed really quickly. Living at The Artisan
June 15, 2017I moved into the Artisan about 6 month ago and it has been the best experience. The friendly staff makes it a warm place to live, they made the move-in experience easy and even gave me some cool little move-in gifts. The building I live in is always clean and smells good. Nice apartments, friendly building
June 15, 2017I love living here. The buildings are on the smaller side, so people are very friendly and say 'hi' which is so nice. The courtyard space also lends itself to getting to know other people in the building. The apartments themselves are also great. Nice closet space, stainless steel appliances, and high ceilings really make them feel spacious and homey. Don't live here
July 20, 2016I lived here for a few years and have since moved out. The units themselves are nice, but the management is terrible. The leasing agents change over so frequently you never know who is actually working there. The leasing manager is very rude and unhelpful. It took months to get our name on the buzzer. They lost their copy of our key. I had to make one myself to give to them in case we got locked out. The building is not secure. Bikes are frequently stolen from the bike rack, and although ...there are cameras in the garage, they don't work. Many items were also stolen from the garage, and the management's response was to tell residents to stop leaving things in the garage, instead of figuring out a better way to provide a safe environment. Management is wasteful with the residents' money. Last year they charged everyone an amenity fee, and then used that money to redecorate the lobbies, which did not need to be redecorated, and bought several $1600 chairs from West Elm. How about use that money to upgrade your security cameras? Speaking of amenities, they aren't great. There is a shuttle, but it picks up people from 4 buildings, and by the time it gets to the Madison/Jefferson building, there's no room left for you to sit. They recently got a larger one, but it's not that much larger. They also knew about the shuttle issue for a year before they finally tried to fix it. The patios are fine, but there's no trash out there. They're also small and airless. Smoke detectors are ridiculously sensitive. We had to always cook with the vent fan on, AC on, and windows open, even in the winter, and they would still go off. You can hear at least one person's alarm go off every evening. The maintenance staff is actually pretty great and friendly and generally fix things in your unit in a timely manner, however, they don't take as good care of the common areas, such as the gym. FOUR lights were out in the gym FOR A YEAR before they fixed them. The water jug is also always empty at the gym. Don't even think about getting your security deposit back. Even though the landlord is responsible for cleaning the unit for the next tenant, they keep your deposit and use it to pay for the cleaning service, no matter how clean you leave your unit. Do you have a service dog? Too bad, because you'll still have to pay the pet fee (nonrefundable) and pet rent, even though this is against the law.Property Manager Responded
