    Cockroaches and flies! Never ending! In the apartment and in the building (e.g. elevator). Small flies that bite and suck blood fly in from drains! Management offered sprays and drain dusting by their designated pest company. After 4 separate sprays and some dustings, with each spray kicking us out of the apartment for 4 hrs at a time, we still have roaches and flies. They mop the halls every day with really strong smelling solution. That probably drives the roaches into apartments. We bought our ...
    own roach bait traps and fly bait traps which did help. We have to keep replacing them because the roaches and flies come back after a while. After spending ~ $200 on pest control out of pocket, management refuses to reimburse, even though the apartment would not be livable without our own measures. For the rent they charge, find a cleaner apartment. After their response to above post: I have submitted receipts twice now: Before the above post, and after the below response from Artists Village - AMC. My private communications have been ignored. So I will post receipts here. II find the current management team dismissive and disrespectful. Again, for the $ they charge, and the multitude of problems that exist (water shut-offs, elevator breakdowns, garage gate breakdowns, leaks, pests, stairs that reek of pee, dirty pool...) find a cleaner apartment!

After speaking with our pest control vendor, they were unable to find any activity in your home. If this is not the case, it would be our pleasure to have a further conversation, as customer service and a comfortable place to live are always our top priorities. It would also be our pleasure to address any further maintenance needs. We ask kindly that our VIPs notify our team right away if they notice an area in need of service.

    I just signed my lease fore a 2nd year at Artist Village, and I am still loving it. I love the area, people, and staff. Maintenance is always on top of everything, and there is always something fun going on at a local restaurant, farmers market, or movie theater! Everything you need is local, and the prices are well set.
