The location and overall environment have been positive, and I’ve made an effort to take good care of my unit during that time. That said, the carpet—especially in the main living areas—has experienced significant wear over the years and is now impacting the comfort and appearance of the apartment. Fire alarm
March 10, 2026Ascent has good apartment and layouts, the outside is nice too. Moved to San Jose and lived here for 6 months. Parking is first come first serve so you constantly fight for a space and if you work late, you’ll end up on the top floor. The fire alarm apparently is a consistent issue for residents from 2016…. It’s 2026! 10 years and we can’t fix that? This is so dangerous of false alarms, what happens if it’s a real alarm?Property Manager Responded

it’s lovely here!

Love Ascent!
January 12, 2021My husband and I have only been living here for about 2 months but so far we love it! We love how conveniently close the apts. are to nearby stores and the freeway. The staff is great, Katrina the manager was so nice and helpful during our move. We love how pet friendly the apts. are, and how well maintained the apartments are in the inside and the public shared areas. Almost one year later, they still have not fixed fire alarm
May 11, 2017I have lived here for 10 months. The fire alarm has been a nightmare since the first month I moved in. More than 90% of the alarms turned out as false alarm and till now, they still have not figured out a way to make it right. For the past two days, fire alarms were triggered at around 3am, making unacceptable loud noise for over 20 minutes. Again, both were false alarms.
