It is very safe. Good lighting in parking lots and entrances to apartments. Rose Hulman security also patrols area. Quiet no large college parties. Plenty of parking areas. The location is perfect and the layout works great for providing both private and common area study spaces. There were a few occasions of the internet going down, but in the end most of those issues came from my use of an old ethernet cord, not the service itself. The only electricity available is from Duke Energy, which is not always the best. Power outages would happen sometimes. But, overall, it worked well enough to get by. This was a really nice place to stay while I was studying at Rose. The apartment was nice and was spacious enough for my roommate and I. You can easily get to Rose campus in less than 5 minutes from Ashton. The only problem we had while we were there was the internet. During the last 6 months of our stay, it became pretty terrible (it was fine for the rest of our time).
