July 3, 2025I moved here at the request of my son. I recently returned to Washington full-time, and he mentioned that many of his friends hang out in the Village. He's in 9th grade, so being close to movies, ice cream shops, and other activities was important to him and that played a big part in my decision. While I initially moved here for him, I’ve really come to enjoy living here myself. The staff is fantastic, and the amenities are outstanding. My only complaint is that the floors and walls are a bit ...thin, conversations can sometimes be heard through the walls and vents. That said, I assume this is fairly standard in apartment living. I believe I will renew and renew for a large apartment when my lease is up.Property Manager Responded

October 26, 2023Not so great here's what's broken: 1. The golf simulator has been broken for months at a time it is the rare occasion it is working as intended 2. There was a giardia outbreak in the outdoor dog park causing them to shut down for periods at a time. 3. There used to be a video game system that had a pool ball thrown through it which has never been replaced (don’t believe me just ask!) 4. The gates for the parking garage were broken for 6+ months. In this time, I have seen multiple cars in the ...parking lot with smashed windows, and even cars with completely stolen wheels. This is dangerous. even with the gates fixed you will still see broken glass inside parking garages. Security is too busy patrolling the hallways making sure residents are orderly rather than actually protecting resident property. 5. Maintenance has actually been pretty quick to respond to all of our tickets, however these fixes are generally quick and I have had to schedule multiple requests for the same issue in my stay here. 6. Package pickup and distribution is poorly designed for the size of the building I have had 16 different deliveries cancelled or sent back to sender by the main office because the delivery driver either could not find the mailroom or it was delivered to the front desk; FYI if your package gets delivered to the front desk staff will be too lazy to take it 2 floors up to the mailroom. Just this week I had a package delivered to the front desk which I was given no notification about and it is now on its way back to sender… fun. 7. Package theft is rampant, maybe because of the disorganization of the package system or because of the size of the building but you will have packages which are reported as delivered disappear out of thin air. 8. It seems aspect has been responding on this issue in recent reviews but the fire alarms… my god the fire alarms. For the past year they have gone off at least twice/month making working from home an unpleasant experience to say the least. “testing” periods will have fire marshals pounding on your door at any given scheduled time of the day; good luck if you work nights. TL;DR – The building is flashy but has no function. You will be paying a premium for broken amenities and there is an unfortunate amount of crime that occurs on premises.Property Manager Responded
