December 29, 2025Apartment complex has changed hands several times. Maintenance is slow to fix things and then it's done incorrectly. Homeless people walking around the complex. Cars parked illegally for months without towing. Noisy neighbors dogs barking late at night. Rent goes up every month, getting expensive especially when nothing in your apartment has been updated or fixed correctly. Used to be a decent quiet complex when I moved in 14 years ago but now not so much.Review from Apartments.com

May 17, 2025I love living here. The Apts are really big and they have big closests....The rental agent who takes me rent is very nice...The maintained grounds are very kept together. The men who come to do maintenence are very professional and very up to speed with what to do and are gracious enough to schedule when it is right for me and not them either. With all that said we still have mice problems....They came and plugged up fhe hole behind fhe oven but I still see them....and that is one thing I'd like ...for them to get rid of...but other than that I love living here it is a quiet place to live and my neighbors are respectful as well....Property Manager Responded

May 14, 2025It was very beautiful initially, when I moved in 2020, the place was well kept, no smoking of cigarettes or weeds in the building. But as time goes on, people start to smoke in the building and present, group of people I don’t know if they live here goes to the basement to smoke.Property Manager Responded

Completely Unprofessional
August 9, 2021I called to this property on Wednesday spoke with a man to make an appointment to see a unit on Saturday. My wife and I live a hour away drive all the way up to the apartments to find know one there and a letter on the door stating that they are closed. This is completely Unprofessional and if this is how they run the property then they did me a favor cause this is no place I want to live. Also the outside of the apartment's looks really run down and not up kept.Property Manager Responded

October 14, 2020My roommate and I moved to Auden Place about a month ago and got a renovated two bedroom. Upon signing the lease, I came and did a solo tour of the grounds and the unit we would be moving in to. After moving in, we received an inspection checklist and did have quite a few things that needed repair. However, all of the things were fixed within 2 weeks of move in! I was so amazed. They keep the grounds very clean, and clean the front entrance to your building weekly. It’s a very quiet community. ...The laundry room in our building has been kept clean and haven’t had any issues getting an available machine. The leasing agent Danielle could not have been better at helping and guiding me through the leasing process as this is the first time I’ve done it by myself. David, the property manager and James the maintenance manager are both great too! I would highly recommend giving Auden Place a chance. Old apartments in a changing neighborhood
July 26, 2019Long-term resident here, under both the old management and the new management which took over in October 2018. on the whole, this community has a lot more going against it than for it, but it really depends upon what you're looking for in an apartment community. First and foremost, there is extensive construction going on in the immediate vicinity of Auden Place. At times it can cause noise problems within the community, although it's not generally too bad. More importantly, the units that the ...management is currently renting are slated to be part of the same Demolition and Redevelopment effort eventually. The only question is when it's going to happen, and the new management is not being very forthcoming with information on that score. If you rent here, be aware that you may have to move sooner than you had originally planned. Folks who are looking for a relatively short term home might be better candidates for this community right now than those who want to stay 10 or 15 years. That said, the grounds are pleasant and nicely landscaped. There is a fairly new (a couple of years old) playground and picnic / BBQ area area. And in terms of community amenities, that's really about it. You're not going to find party rooms, pools, computer centers, fitness centers, or any of that jazz here. It's a very plain and simple garden apartment community. Shopping is great in this area if you have access to a vehicle. Westfield Wheaton and the Wheaton business district is a couple of miles to the South, while Aspen Hill and Plaza del Mercado are both a similar distance to the north. If you're planning on walking to do your shopping and errands, things are not so rosy. The Glenmont Shopping Center is not in great shape, and there's no sign of any change to that situation in the near future. Fire, rescue, and police are all a short distance away and very responsive when needed, which is fortunately not very often. The new library and Recreation Center will be open in September 2019 and is a (longish) walk away. About the apartments themselves there's not a lot to say. These are old buildings, and the units are showing their age. They're fairly well-maintained, and have very good storage space in them. But their floor plans are straight out of the 60s, and they have extremely outdated and inefficient HVAC installed. If you have modest requirements, they can be comfortable, but they are far from glamorous.Property Manager Responded
