I moved to Durham almost a year ago, and Audubon was my first choice. Out of all the apartments I looked at, I kept coming back to Audubon. FIrst off, the price is so reasonable for what all comes with the unit (washer/dryer and utilities included in the rent for a one bedroom. Water not included in a two bedroom). monitored, but I still use it. I feel like if I weren't home and someone broke in, it would draw some attention because of how loud it is). I'm in building 701 which faces the pond (or "lake"). It is beautiful to look out my balcony and see the sun set over it and fun to watch the geese and their babies walk around. It stays generally quiet and is close to so many shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Downtown is like 15-20 minutes away, and I-40 is right up the road. You are also in walking distance to the Tobacco trail, which, by Audubon, leads up to the Southpoint Mall (like a 20-30 minute walk from the complex). The staff is nice, and maintenance requests are promptly answered. I have loved living here and am only moving for personal reasons; if I could, I would stay longer.
