My experience at Austin Place Apartments has been nothing short of terrible. The management and communication are the worst I’ve ever encountered. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a significant issue with bugs and roaches. Despite reporting this, I was forced to pay a pest control fee, only to be hit with a fine six months after moving out, despite being told the apartment was clean and in good condition.
The management’s response time is unacceptable. They claimed to have sent an email
...stating the place was filthy, but my roommate and I spent two full days cleaning and sanitizing the apartment before moving out. Additionally, I repeatedly asked for a copy of the lease and never received it. When I inquired about getting our deposit back, I was told they needed to inspect the apartment and get back to me, which they never did.
Living here was a constant headache due to the ridiculous fees and mismanagement. They even posted eviction notices on our door multiple times that were meant for other people, causing unnecessary stress and confusion. Despite never paying rent late or causing any problems, we were treated with disrespect.
I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I advise against living here. If you do live here, consider moving out as soon as possible. The management is unresponsive, and the fees are exorbitant. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for housing.
