November 14, 2023First, it started off good. Office staff seemed nice and helpful. The apartments are showing their age, but we loved the location. We only lived there for six months and we decided to break our lease. We had no problem paying to do that. We take accountability for what we do. Thought everything was good. We left the apartment cleaner than we even received it. We thought everything was settled. Few weeks after moving out I received a bill saying we had to pay for new carpet. I called the number ...and the lady said the pictures looked like it was left nice and clean. So she sent me to their dispute email account. Made the dispute and they said it was due to them pulling up the carpet and seeing pee stains. Umm. The carpet was old for us when we moved in only 6 months ago and my dog doesn’t even have accidents. Previous tenants could have easily been the culprit. I do think they chose to pin it on us to get even more money out of us! They are obviously shady and I would never recommend them to anyone!Property Manager Responded

Nothing is Certain
September 15, 2020The apartment complex is great. Had no complaints until today. With two months left on our lease, they changed the rules regarding post-lease month-to-month payments, a big selling point for the complex in the first place. Now, rather than continuing my rate that I've paid for the past year, they expect me to resign for FIFTEEN months to retain the same rate. Sure, I could still go month-to-month as originally planned, but it will add $200 a month to my bill. It was also very classy that they ...announced this policy change 10 minutes before sending me my lease renewal paperwork. I get that times are hard, but come on.Property Manager Responded

Good place to live.
August 12, 2020Lived at Autumn Lakes for 2 years and had a very good experience with them. The location was great and being so close to the Meijer was convenient. Management was never a problem for me and were helpful. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was fantastic and the utilites such as water and gas being included were great as well. Never had to worry about the parking lot not being plowed during the winter. The only things I didn't like about here was the noise from the bypass (which you'll get used ...to), the apartment was difficult to heat in the winter and keep cool in the summer, and the parking situation. I would highly recommend Autumn Lakes to anyone looking for an apartment in the Mishawaka/ South Bend area.Property Manager Responded

Like the location!
December 28, 2019I like living here! The location is great, staff is friendly and maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely fashion! My only complaint is I live on the ground floor and love to sit out on my patio! Well, the upper balconies above me are built with wood slats with space between the boards and I have had numerous things drop down on me as I am sitting out from tenants above me! From people throwing liquids out their back doors to dirt from tenants potting plants! I feel this needs to be ...addressed because it’s not a pleasant thing to have happen to you!Property Manager Responded

August 4, 2015Beautiful surrounding area and back off from the main streets so its quiet and peaceful. Right next to a grocery store and highway so easy access to groceries and traveling. Staff is friendly and maintenance is always on top of repairs. Very nice pool and deck around it for laying out. New Apartments and townhomes with some older ones for pet use. August 7, 2015I have lived in this 1 bedroom 700 square foot apartment for almost 6 years. Apartment is fine size for me. Bedroom is large and has a large walk-in closet with plenty of storage shelves. Rent has only went up $50 in 5 years. Maintenance department is quick to respond to repair requests.
