I just got off the phone. I was confirming with the prior resident department on our final bill charge. The statement we received billed us $1050.51, with no breakdowns. I requested a detailed charge break down and was told that these charges are "standard". There is Standard Apartment cleaning, of 488.84 dollars. There is carpet replacement of 486.67 dollars, which according to them, is also standard because we had pets. So no matter how we delivered the apartment they will replace the carpet. ...
Are these charges listed out in the lease? Well, probably. But the actual amount was never revealed. Until, of course, when we moved out.
