  • Don't expect noise issues to be addressed

    I loved living here initially. Nice apts and nice area. It's turned into a nightmare. A new neighbour is so heavy footed I'm woken up several times a week from stomping so hard I can feel it. Management will do nothing. If your unfortunate enough to get my apt and you aren't a super heavy sleeper make sure you get out the first 30 days or pay dearly with you mental and physical health.

    I lived here for a bit more than a year. I do like the maintenance workers. However I was told my rent would increase $480 a month if I choose to renew. I don't think this building is new enough to justify the prices they charge.

  • Old, poorly maintained, mediocre building

    The lack of good photos should tell you a lot about the building. Construction quality is so poor the underside of our counter has exposed scrap wood! The prices are high and they regularly hike prices over 15% after the first year. Counters are linoleum, baseboards and door frames are painted lumber, and the appliances are older than the building. There is nothing 'Avalon' about this apartment complex. At least the location is great.

  • Watch out for the price hike...

    After living here for a year, I can say that for the most part it was a positive experience. Never had issues with neighbors, save the stomper that lived above me. Parking was never an issue. Location is great too. However, when the renewal period came, I was shocked and floored that they raised the price by nearly 25%! Seriously. 25%. Now you should know that the appliances are a solid 10yrs old, the counter tops are laminate (peeling/damaged), and the cabinets are incredibly dated.... Again, ...
    when the price was right I overlooked these things...but not when they want luxury prices for motel level amenities and finishes. I have the feeling they're trying to price themselves like much of the brand new construction around them, but fail to realize that they're not nearly on the same level. Bottom line: Great location, plentiful parking, attentive staff. Ridiculous prices after the first year. I'm moving a half mile away for a true luxury experience without insane price hikes.
