The past 3 months have been interesting for sure with ups & downs. For the most part, I have appreciated the willingness of the staff at Avana at Powell Valley to help the residents at the complex, as managing properties is a difficult job. I have gotten a lot sorted out with the complex by simply speaking to them, but there are things I feel should have been addressed prior to moving in here. When I first came here the property could very much be described as “fixer”. Paint was old and peeling, several exterior finishes of multiple buildings were falling off or missing, drainage was blocked creating giant lakes when it rained, the balcony’s had rotten boards, the pool area was old and of questionable sanitation, the landscaping was either overgrown or bare in spots frequently covering signs of buildings making it difficult for delivery people to find, lighting at night was absent or ...

It's a nice large apartment complex with great amenities. Management may or may not respond quickly but will eventually get back to you. The street parking is generally pretty safe. Sometimes there are unsavory individuals that lurk about on the sidewalk, but they rarely cause a genuine concern. I'm hoping management will make an effort to keep that sidewalk clean though. While those unsavory individuals don't usually seem particularly dangerous, they do regularly leave garbage. I see tenants ...
throw that garbage away, but I've never seen property management make an effort to clean it up on the sidewalk connected to the property. I do appreciate that the property parking is usually clean enough though.

The building improvements are so appreciated, the hard work of the roofers and painters and the maintenance team is exceptional. Their politeness is a breath of fresh air since they are more than helpful and accommodating every way. Their smiles are something not seen around here from tenants very often.

The Avana Powell Valley staff are always friendly and seem to constantly work to improve not only the grounds but also the sense of community. Between newsletters, community events, constant work improving the buildings themselves, and improving the overall look and feel of the complex I've never seen apartment staff work so hard to make life better for their tenants.
