Dont fall in the trap, look under the hood
September 14, 2025The property looks pretty from outside. But when you actually look under the hood, the so call luxury apart reveals its true colours. Very noise units: Their Air Conditioning system is out dated and it creates hell a lot of noise both inside the unit and outside the unit day and night. You can't even have a peaceful sleep because of the sound. The management thinks this is normal. Not sure how normal human being with full sense can accept this as normal. If you are paying heavy rents and looking ...forward for a peaceful living, then forget this place. Careless maintenance: Most of the window screens are either broken or not present at all. So the windows are meaningless. You can open them for ventilation. If you open them, anyone can easily get into your unit as there is no barrier at all. It's a shame to be called a luxury apartment. No pro active communication: Office staff do not care to pro actively communicate on important matters. For example, in my case, I had scheduled move index two months in advance. On the day of move in when I called to confirm the time, the leasing agent says the apartment is not yet ready and he is not sure when it will be ready. I was literally on the streets. They allowed to move in three days later. On most of the pending issues, in you do not follow up, the management will never get back to you. No time bound resolution of issues: I have issues pending for more than two and since I moved in, the management is clueless about its resolution. Unfortunately I got trapped in this "LUXURY" apartment. Look under the hood, it's not as pretty as it looks. Not worthy of their heft rent. Its a ripoffProperty Manager Responded

Not worth it
January 3, 2020Poorly constructed apartments. Thin walls. Not enough parking spaces, people park in handicapped spaces. Attached garages take up valuable space where tenants could use more spaces to park. Additional cost of 150.00 a month for one of those garages. Fitness center is small with few weight machines. Community area inside main building has free coffee however if you don’t live in that building you can’t access it until the office personnel arrive at least 8:00 a.m, because the doors are ...locked. Office staff are rude, ignorant, not helpful and unfriendly after you sign the lease. I hadn’t the need for maintenance during the year I was there so I can’t comment on that department. There are newer apartments in the area that are better constructed coupled with a helpful, caring and friendly professional office staff. Look elsewhere, Avenel isn’t worth it if you want to live in a happy end positive environment.Property Manager Responded

Avenel is a great place to live
January 4, 2019Avenel is a great place to live. I have lived here almost 10 years and would not consider moving. Office staff is exceptional - very helpful, friendly- works hard to make sure your experience at Avenel is nothing but the best. Maintenance is also exceptional at Avenel. They are always right there when you need them. The apartments are larger than most other communities for the rent and the floor plans are really terrific. Bad maintenance
July 9, 2018If you are looking for a place to live with good maintenance do not live here. They do not have the residents best interest at heart. If you want to be spoken to rudely and hung up on, give them a call! The Avenel should also consider another form of communication such as email, for important notices. If something out of the ordinary is going on, they should make it priority to make sure ALL of their residents are aware before any drastic measures are taken.Property Manager Responded

Love Avenel
November 24, 2017Modern/contemporary living. Friendly neighbors and staff. Quite community. Great location near the bypass, Montgomery mall, airport square, and movies. Very well landscaped. Noise is minimal for apartment living. Breeze-way entry reduces noise even further. Maintenance is wonderful, courteous, and through. They’ll do extensive work such as carpet cleaning and pest control to ordinary maintenance. They even change burnt out light bulbs if you ask nice! Love it here!!Review from Apartments.com
I Love it At Avenel
July 26, 2017I moved to this location in June 2017 and could not be happier. The process was very easy and the staff were helpful up to and after my move in date. Everything was clean, working and as I would expect. The grounds are kept very well and the pool is quite lovely. I have the 2 bedroom with a loft and it is spacious and well laid out. My only wish was that my unit had refurbished the kitchen, baths and entrance hall. While only 13 years old, it is time for renewal. I could have gotten one ...but would have lost my free month. They are pet friendly and I have nice, considerate neighbors. If you don't like dogs, this is probably not a place for you as there are many residents with furry friends (I have a cat).
