Lied about amenities
May 27, 2024This complex DOES NOT have a business center. Laundry facilities barely work on a consistent basis. Staff has no backbone and community wide vandalism continues. Water and Sewage is also NOT a flat $20 fee. I’m not sure who wrote this listing but it’s very close to being completely dishonest.Review from Apartments.com

Though I am familiar with the property, previous tenant, her polite attitude offered an overall better experience. She walked me through the application process and overall was great to work with! Pest Problem
October 16, 2022There is currently a mice plague. Not enough is being done to stay on top of it. Just when you think you had finally gotten it handled in your apartment, a neighbor will move out and they will fumigate and plug mouse holes for the new tenant and suddenly you are overrun again!Review from Apartments.com

New staff, OLD WAYS
March 8, 2021So now we have some new staff members, you would've thought that they would improve some of these issues 1 broken gate 2 off professionalism 3 broken laundry door 4 TENAT RESPECT 5 dog control(it really shouldn't be any) 6 maintenance RESPECT, Maintenance job skills 7 communication with tenants 8 parking(it should be assigned parking, way to many cars) And now ALL RENT RECEIPTS MUST BE EMAILED. So DON'T MOVE HERE ID YOU'RE LOOKING to be VALUED. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!Property Manager Responded

Please read before calling this your new home
December 31, 2020Here's what's wrong with Ave Apts. Before I signed my lease, I wasn't told that I would be in a 18 month lease (I was rushing and needed to find a place asap) and my security deposit wasn't even on my lease (had to get the property manager to fix it.) The day before I was suppose to move in, they call me and tell me that I don't make enough for a two bedroom, so I asked them did they have a one bedroom ready, took them a min to tell me yes. They put in new mailboxes all the way at the front of ...the complex, I live in the back and don't drive. The washers in the landry room stay leaking and broke (water always on the floor, it smells and black nets everywhere.) Ants all in the kitchen in the summer along with potato bugs and flies. The only thing I liked about this place is that before COVID-19, maintenance always showed up on time to complete their work orders. But I can't wait til me lease is up.Property Manager Responded

Be careful!!!
May 31, 2018This office is built on lies and constant miscommunication. From the time I was supposed to move in and then telling me my unit isn’t available forcing me to spend more money on a larger unit. To all of the 8 mice I caught on traps I’ve bought bc theirs doesn’t work. To all the roaches I see during the warm weather outside. Don’t move here please
December 19, 2017Please don’t move here. I just put my 30 Days in. The apartments are roach and mice infested. I woke up this morning to a mouse in my bread messed me all up. Every month I came home to a letter on the door saying that I owe money. Luckily I had my receipts. Time went on and I received another letter this time I called corporate they fixed the situation without a problem it took 2 months for the rental office to do anything about it. My car was towed while I slept the towing company phone was ...going straight to vm goes around the rental office to the most unprofessional staff that I have ever met in my 30 years. They say what they want and will always try to call the law so that they can try to cover themselves. I called corporate today and advised them. I hope to hear from them soon. The kids have no respect for the law, security and this property. Trash in the parking lots hallways where ever I know that you are paying for the area you live in but wow this is the worst. I would never recommend a dog to live here I had better days with the old rental office. Not happy at all about this placeProperty Manager Responded

Horrible maintenance and customer service
November 15, 2017The Avenue has the worst Maintenance and Customer Service. The turnover rate is high for residents and management. They take their time fixing things and act as if you are bothering them to get it fix. Drug traffic area and my car was broken into within 2 months. False advertisement with the admenities. Office Professionalism
August 29, 2017I've been a current resident of the Avenue Apartments for approximately 3 years. Since my stay here as a tenant I've noticed drastic improvement to the neighborhood. From the redesigning of the management office, the construction of the pool, to the safety and security of our community. The professionalism of the office staff is very warm and welcoming and the integrity of our management team adhere to building relationships to it's client and tenant's. Very Spacious 2 bedroom Apartment
June 20, 2017I really do love the apartment but there are a few things to change. The appliances are definitely dated and not energy efficient but still functional. I've been here since it was Penn Landing and I can definitely tell you the new mgmt is hard to reach. I loved being able to email mgmt, call or put in requests easily online. I haven't had such ease with new mgmt. I did see a few insects when I moved in but that was taken care of quickly. I also like that the complex is kept fairly clean ...considering all the litterbugs I've seen. Overall you get what you pay for and this is a bargain.
