Poor management high crime
December 26, 2020As soon as I moved in my car was broken into. The management was very unhelpful. The neighbors smoke weed 24/7 and the smell is so strong it goes through the vents into my apartment. I've complained millions of times to no avail. The management doesn't care. I tried getting out of my lease but they said no I would have to pay the early termination fee on order to get out of it.Property Manager Responded

POOR MANAGEMENT
April 24, 2017We have lived here for 6 months and at first glance it really looks like a nice place. Before we moved our furniture in we saw tiny bugs and roaches which I was very surprised. So we cleaned our place ourselves with good ol' elbow grease and never saw them again. but when we need maintenance help Lisa treats you like your are dumb and belittles you. October 7, 2015I live here with my sister and we absolutely love it! First of all, it's beautiful, we have wood floors and high ceilings and a balcony. The rooms are also huge and have walk in closets (my dream) The amenities are great, the pool with a huge area with tables and chairs and an area to bbq and entertain, even a fir pit type thing, hot tub, cyber cafe, movie room, game room, everything is really cool and never crowded like we expected. Plus we are right by the freeway which is super great and only ...one exit away from Newport village which has everything as far as shopping and restaurants. Great units, quiet neighbors.
August 14, 2015I've lived in Avila for the past 8 months, and have had nothing but a quiet, good experience living there. It might depend on what part of the complex you're in, since some parts of it seem to have a lot more activity, but I hardly even notice having neighbors where I'm at. There's plenty of parking (and it's open) and has a decent pool (and a toddler pool!) and park area. The only complaint I have about the amenities is that some of them are only available during office hours -- this is ...especially a bummer for the nice theater room that they have. The apartments themselves are nice -- they have wood-grained linoleum, which actually looks really good and since it's linoleum it wipes up nicely. There is also a washer, dryer, and dishwasher in the unit, as well as A/C (which works GREAT, and is a necessity during the summer). The office staff is cool -- I haven't really had to deal with them much since I pay my rent on time and online, but UPS/Fedex will drop off your packages there and the staff will call you. That's kind of nice. Anyway, the apartment is a little pricey for the area, but in general, you'd be paying close to $1000 more per month for this quality of apartment living in a good part of San Diego (where I moved from) so I'm pretty happy.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

July 23, 2015These units are amazing they're very professional friendly great amenities full of the day fitness center Spa BBQ area just a really nice place to live. All the units have upgraded amenities as well hardwood looking vinyl floors throughout thick shag carpet washer and dryer included ceiling fans in master bedroom and in living room nice patio for just relaxing large kitchen large bathrooms large showers garage included with remote control some units have Garage Attached. Sprawling play area for ...children and amazing views at night with the stars above. Sun City is not just a retirement community anymore it's a sprawling new community with a younger crowd and families with a park style living..
