Broken elevators and amenities
February 19, 2025Elevator was broken for 2+ months, as was my washer upon move-in. Management can be nice, hosts lots of events, but this doesn't make up for the apartments themselves - would recommend renting somewhere cheaper and closer to campus.Review from Apartments.com

March 23, 2023Not too shabby, but it’s also wampus so keep the expectations low. Staff is really chill and organized which I appreciate and they also plan a lot of community events. Perfect for UT Students
July 12, 2022I have lived at Axis West for 4 years and have really enjoyed my time here! My apartment faced west with a beautiful view of the hills and I got along well with my assigned roommates. Each room is guaranteed to come with a window and each apartment comes with a balcony which has become uncommon for west campus. I really enjoy the monthly community events - they even had a petting zoo at the pool once! The staff is very kind and responsive and do their best to improve the property. My biggest ...complaint was the poor wi-fi, however last summer they set up a whole new system and it has been working great! This past year they also brought on a new maintenance team so my requests have been handled very quickly. While it is a little further from campus, I would recommend Axis West to any UT students - it is just a 15 minute walk to campus and there is a bus stop one block away. Since it is a little further from campus, the area is really quiet and I feel safe walking home late at night.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Really Nice, But Not what I need
October 9, 2015Axis West is a really nice apartment complex. It has a gym, pool, and free coffee. Everyone has to have their own rooms (you can't share a room to split the cost of rent) which is kind of annoying and eats into my budget. It's about $800 a month for a room. You also have to pay electric. The amenties are nice, the rooms are spacious and its on the edge of West Campus so it's easier to get to and its easier to avoid traffic. The staff is very prompt and helpful and takes good care of the ...apartment. It's a 20 minute walk to campus so it is not necessarily convient.
