June 18, 2025I've had a truly wonderful experience living at Bala Woods, in Kingwood, TX. From the moment I moved in, the management team has been professional, responsive, and genuinely caring. Any maintenance requests I’ve submitted were handled quickly and efficiently, often within 24 hours. The grounds are well-kept, with beautiful landscaping that’s maintained regularly. I also appreciate how quiet and peaceful the community is—it really feels like home. The location is a major plus—close to shops and ...restaurants yet still tucked away enough to feel private and secure. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-managed, and welcoming place to live, I highly recommend Bala Woods at Kingwood. August 6, 2024If I could give a 0/5 stars I would. The dumpster frequently breaks so they have to bring trash bins to sit out and it smells like a dump outside. I couldn’t even sit out on my patio! Trash would blow across the apartments so there would be trash scattered everywhere and I would refuse to walk my dog around so he wouldn’t get into trash. People would come by and dump trash and block me in frequently! I also was paying over $500 for an electric bill with Entergy at these apartments for a one ...bedroom! I never got any support from the apartments and just refused to live in those conditions. The train behind the apartments is so loud and would wake everyone in the house up by the shaking and the sound! It even would run throughout the middle of the night!Property Manager Responded

No way 5 star reviews are legitimate.
May 23, 2021This place is a complete mess. Walls are paper thin, dogs barking 24/7, nearby train is annoying, grounds are not maintained, noise complaints are never addressed, courtesy officer is worthless, front office never returns phone calls, parking violations are not addressed. Can't sit on balcony because of wasps and bugs. Kids play in parking lot yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. Actually, had a kid trying to play a saxophone once with no regard to anyone around him. People smoke ...pot in their garages. Neighbor's garage is under my bedroom and whenever they open it, my entire bedroom rattles. . . vehicle break-ins are common. . . . . can't imagine any apartment complex being worse than Bala Woods. Where staff don't give two hoots in hell about your comfort or well being. . . . keep looking.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Vandalism Problem

September 6, 2015Apartment very quiet clean environment for and safe. When I pull in to the gate I see relaxed peaceful and quiet .Also the management staff and engineering staff are awesome. The residents also family wave and look out for each other. Access to the airport, grocery stores, restaurant and freeway access.Review from Apartments.com
Bala Wood at Kingwood
August 13, 2015I have lived here since 2007. Apartment staff are always courteous and professional. The grounds and landscaping are kept up. All apartments have a garage connected to apartment. This is wonderful especially during inclement weather. Knowing your vehicle is protected especially during hurricane season or the occasional ice storm is a big relief. Apartments are spacious and currently going through upgrades to stainless steel appliances as residents move. The kitchens and bathrooms both have a nice ...amount of counter space. Large walkin closets in bedrooms. All apartments have a separate niche for computers that could be used as a desk or work area. Apartments are quiet.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
