STAY AWAY FROM HERE

My experience: Loud, horrible and smelly central AC during summer, centipede and fruit fly infestation, leaky shower head and drain every other month, mouse running inside kitchen, loud banging from heating system during winter, id rather live in detroit for double the price than pay half of what im paying to stay here now, STAY AWAY.

Do NOT move here, the AC is a one ton fan that runs all day in the summer, there’s bugs in the sink, it smells like a sewer, the pool is closed in the summer, etc. Rent should be $300 lower than what it is. 0 stars

Garbage apartments -1/5 literally trash loud a** AC right in your living space…smelly seweage smell throughout the whole apartment complec buildings every room smells like garbage, trash kitchen horrible service etc. again, -1/5

No understanding

I rarely do things like this, but I stayed here for five years, No good Customer service and No understanding. The first property management company was great, and they took the time to listen to their clients. The new property management system is just absurd. First, you must phone several times before they respond. They raised the rent by $60 last year. With a 30-day notice, they raised the rent by almost $150 this year. They never offered me anything like carpet cleaning, or new paint, or ...
change anything in my apartment to explain those prices.When I contacted them to find out why, she said that it was due to market competition. LIES, LIES, LIES, the apartment next door is less expensive and has more appliances. Now I've received a letter informing me that I must pay $480 for the carpet due to some stains. They claimed I had new carpet when I moved in 5 years ago. There was no mention of the carpet being new while signing my contract. When I emailed the management, they said I need to pay, if not it will be sent to collections. So it appears that they intended you to pay for new carpet once you moved out. There was also a $100 charge for 4 hours of extra cleaning on top of that (kitchen appliances, walls, and in the bathroom in order to return the apartment to original condition). Before I moved out, my friend and I cleaned the entire apartment. Don't they paint the apartment after someone leaves? Also, why don't they go over those terms at the signing contract and ensure the customers' understanding? Really bad experience with them.

This place is overly priced maintenance only come to fix what they want to fix I’ve put in multiple maintenance requests that takes days or weeks to be resolved unless I put them in more than once the park is dirty the pool never opened up but look dirty anyway the washer and dryers messes up your clothes management harasses certain residents they let the residents who’ve been here a very long time do whatever they like but are strict on new coming residents management is rude and not at all ...
helpful squirrels living in the ceilings management comes and bang on your door very loudly if you don’t answer quick enough they barge in and don’t care if you or your kids are napping I can’t wait to move but I must say the neighbors are friendly it’s a clean environment and is placed in an very convenient area with lots of parks malls restaurants etc all in walking distance that’s the only reason I gave 2 stars

My husband and I first moved into Balmoral Arms Apartments when we were newlyweds in 2014. Since than we have become a family of four and raised our 2 children here.
