Nice but the management sucks.
September 10, 2021I’ve lived at this place for years. It’s quiet, there aren’t many problems, but my AC has problems now. I’ve written 3 requests for maintenance as I work at home now, and my AC was out for a solid 2 days in the middle of Houston’s summer. No one comes out. Cool. It defrosts I guess, but then major leaks are happening. The AC has a little area beneath it- well with regular frequency it sounds like a faucet is turned on... well this bleeds through the walls and into the carpets. My children don’t ...want to go into their room because the floor is soaking wet!!! I am putting towels down to prevent mold, and you’d think after the 3 requests and the 2 in person visits they’d do something. Amazing how that hasn’t happened.Property Manager Responded

Do not waste your time or money!!!!
January 29, 2020I looked into this place and was ready to sign my lease, but when i was shown the quote the day of my signing the difference was over $400! and the manager had told me that she would void the pet fee and she lied and said she never said that but she clearly did because how else would i know that their are 2 other same breed dog as mine. I lost my application fee because of a lie she told. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!Property Manager Responded

Houston we have a problem.
March 17, 2018First of all you should take all reviews with a grain of salt. The 5 stars are usually employees using fake login or their friends and family. This complex is a 3 star at best just because of lack of amenities. No fitness center, no security, not enough resident parking, no clubhouse, and the resident on the upper floor has to pay for the building security lights on thier electric bill. With that being said Im sure alot of people enjoy living here, however I am not one of them. Portico ...Management is a joke. Management are very lazy in dealing with resident concerns. My unit was flooded after Harvey and as if this review 3/17/18 no one has come to inspect my apartment. I had to pay for water removal and carpet water extraction and cleaning. Every maintinance request has gone unaddressed. They dont return calls and I find myself always having to follow up on my maintenance orders. Even though I follow up they still go uncompleted. I went a year with not one roach but then I got new neighbors and their is an infestation. I pay for extermination through my lease but that company is also a joke. I had to hire my own exterminator at $125 a month to control the infestation in this building from invaiding my apt. I have asked the property manager to inspect the other apts so they can be treated as well but no response. I dont know why I asked her to do that because with all the issues with my unit, including Black Mold, leaking ceiling, and leaking windows she has yet to come and inspect my unit....simply lazy. There is dog poop all over the property, they have no control over the animal population and there are several aggressive dogs on property. THEY ARE LIARS, SCAMMERS, AND DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS SAFETY!!!! The police have been called 3 times in the month I have been here!! My rent is $100 more than what I was originally told. The apartment is junk, disgusting!!! The washer I pay $40/month for tears up my clothes. They didn't have my apt ready on move in even though I put a deposit down 4 MONTHS ...ahead!!!! May 29, 2017I have lived here for 3 years. It was privately owned before and things were GREAT! And then these new people bought it and thought they would paint it and bring in the worst possible customer service they could find to run it! Seems they are leasing to anybody because I am seeing real shady people here that were never here before. I always felt safe but not now. I will be moving from here as soon as my lease it up this summer. Management is not experienced, and very unprofessional. January 21, 2016I'm not sure where the bad review is coming from. I lived with these guys for about 4 years, and out of all of the rental companies, I've ever had, clear lake condos, has been, by-far, the best. If I ever had complaints, they were there to fix them. In fact I spoke with the OWNER himself upon one of my renewals. The dishwasher detergent "door" stopped latching one day. I called the GREAT girls in the office to see if they could fix it. The repair guy came by, looked at it, said my dishwasher was ...couple years older than some of the other ones in the building, and brought in a new dishwasher and replaced the entire thing that day. While I was living there, new toilet, new water heater, new air conditioning unit. Now the question is= Just how did you leave your apartment? Did you have pets that stunk the place up? Come on. There is no advantage for any company to overcharge unless the damage was done. All in all, I will always come to the defense of clear lake condos. I got my deposit back when I moved out because I left my apartment in really good shape. I highly encourage you to give this place a chance.
