LOTS OF MOLD IN APARTMENTS
October 15, 2020Had mold and mildew in my apt as well as a few other neighbors around me that I saw. A neighbor moved out because they refused, with a promise, to correct it for a year and the neighbor finally moved out because of it. Barstone refused to repair my moldy apt also. It was a threatening health hazard and I could not live in it any longer and HAD to get out of it. I cleaned the apt very well and NO damage was done and paid rent threw the time I was there. Barstone kept my deposit and pet fee AND ...sent me to a debt collector/ lawyer to collect $1500 saying I skipped out on them. I gave them a letter with 2 weeks notice, paid for the two weeks, cleaned apt with no damage and turned keys in. Yes I broke the lease but I HAD to get out of the dangerous mold because of their fault. They refused to correct the problem! And 2 other neighbors also. Barstone refused to repair my oven which was cooking way too high. And, dog poop was everywhere on the outside premises. August 20, 2020The property manager doesn't care about the tenants. We've been struggling for two years with the ancient ac unit in our apartment. We've been told it's doing the best it can do. No plan to replace or compensate us for it not cooling the apartment properly.Review from Apartments.com
RUDE MANAGEMENT & WEAK MAINTENANCE
June 4, 2019I live in a 2nd floor apartment. My appartment has heated up to at least 85 degrees every day since mid-May. The ac unit is ancient. When I talked to the office personnel, they seemed to not care. It's the norm for an apartment on the second floor to get hot. I have lived in apartments all over the southeast. This is by far the worst maintained property I have ever dealt with. My floor has soft spots. You can feel the concrete shift as your walk down the hall. It's always done so. My rent is ...always paid on time. I don't understand why a property which stays rented at full capacity can't properly maintain the bldgs. You’re not important to them.
November 26, 2018If you are a resident, plan on being a resident, or a former resident, they don’t care about you, and you will not be treated as such. Maintenance of the apartments is poor, and getting work done on one is like pulling teeth. We had a leak for 4 months of being there and reported it multiple times. Hope you guys like water damage! Also they take lunch breaks that usually span 3 or more hours, so if you need to pay rent or need to talk to the office, good luck. They take Friday as a half day ...(usually shorter), and aren’t open on Saturday’s. Welcome to the apartment complex that doesn’t care about you! Spacious apartment, very reasonable rent price, always helped on site main office manager, Scarlett, and great speedy maintanence workers.
