Bayberry Gardens
September 23, 2015It has been three weeks now that I have transitioned from home owner to apartment renter. This area is very quiet,but only if you exclude the random freight trains that clickity clack along the railroad tracks that seem an arms length away. The vibrations and swaying of the floors and walls and plants, and the eye opening mouth-dropping sounds of train cars are ALMOST a comforting sound that reminds me of the love of trains as a child and a reminder of the constant flurry of activity outside our ...doors and windows. It is a freedom from worry that something needs repair or the constant maintenance of keeping a home. Did I mention the pitter-patter of little feet above my head remind me of my now grown children? It makes me smile, except of course when I'm ready for slumber and have to awaken at 5:30am for work as a nurse! Actually, what I meant was horses hooves and monkeys jumping AND falling off the bed! So far, though, I'm happy here. Neighbors are quiet as well as kind and helpful. The absolute BEST part? My most adorable loving sweetest kitty I've ever owned gets to share in the fun!
