Terrible Office Staff, Terrific Maintenance and Landscape Staff

The office staff seems to use every excuse in the book not to follow through on any of the simplest requests and things that should be easy are just ridiculously difficult. I love the apartment, love the maintenance guys and landscape people. But the manager and office staff could really use some training.

Here is our experience. Military family member with lease here was deployed on very short notice. Family jumped in to assist. Even with that, landlord made things as difficult as possible, and completely ripped off military lease holder. Landlord did all of the following: - Despite military clause and orders showing immediate deployment, landlord charged an additional 6 weeks rent after move out date, stating Lease does not allow immediate rescission for military orders. Military member is stuck ...
paying for the remainder of a month plus the entire next month after moving out of apartment. - Insisted that closing fees be paid by certified check or money order. Gave the incorrect fee amounts, maximizing the inconvenience in obtaining the money orders (a difficult process and one which military member could never have completed in the brief period of prep before departure). - Claimed a cleaning fee and a damage fee even though family cleaned apartment well on move out and there was no damage we could see. -Landlord gave email notice of this fee and said it would go to collections unless paid with certified check within 13 days of notice. Military family member is on a ship in the middle of the ocean with no means to contest bogus fees nor readily get payment to landlord in time. As landlord again refused any form of electronic payment. Family is on the opposite coast. This is rank opportunism and outright lying.

Great location and amenities, terrible management

I’ve lived here for over 3 years and love the location and amenities. The management however has really gone downhill. They have a hard time communicating efficiently and tending to issues that are actually important. They’re worried about painting the buildings to a boring color but don’t seem to care about my termite nest with chewed up wood and termite droppings. They’ve started to enforce silly rules regarding how we park in our parking spots and what can be on our balconies but every time it ...

Its to expensive and the fact they dont charge less when you cant use the amenities because of COVID-19 is a little ridiculous. Half the reason I came to the complex is because of the amenities. I will not re-up when the lease is up, because of the price, Constant issues somewhere in the building, people not picking up after their dogs, and not giving a break when the amenities are not to be used.

My dog loves living in Broadstone, as they are very pet friendly. However, they are not very people friendly in that they continue to keep amenities closed or limited access and continue charging us the same amount of extremely high rent
