I'm about 90% satisfied with Beachwood. The apartment is clean, as are the grounds. There have been improvements even since I moved hear three years ago. Gone are the tennis courts and in its place a nice little playground for the kids. That's a lot more useful.
I'll start with a combination of the good, the bad and the ugly starting with the ugly first.
The ugly part is really not the fault of Beachwood, but if you live near the Metro Parkway side of the property there will be some
...noise along Metro Speedway. Some might say also airplane noise from Selfridge, but it's not that bad and to some like me, it's music.
The bad part is that the trees adjacent to to the buildings need trimming which will help with the many spiders you will battle while here. The good news is that if you would like they do have an exterminator available to help you with the spiders and they (the staff of Beachwood) are prompt at handling your request for this and for any other maintenance. Also , if you work for a living, the fitness center advertised is only open during office hours and not available on evenings or on Sunday. Also, they could do with a little storage for residents somewhere on the property such as for bicycles in the winter. There are plenty of self storage places nearby, but if you keep some summer items and have a one bedroom apartment, storage of these things will be an issue. Two bedroom townhouses have plenty of storage room in the basement.
Now the good.
Beachwood has met as I said 90% of my expectations which were a clean apartment in a safe, nice looking area, well maintained and quiet. I've found the staff to be as responsive as possible to all my needs and the newly finished soon to be filled pool is among my favorite ways to cool off in the summer and a great social spot to meet with your neighbors.
