November 21, 2024It looks great, but up close it’s just a real mess. **PSA PLEASE be careful, these units seem tempting until the rest of the fees are added and you realize it’s cheaper to just literally move to OKC. They can tell you whatever they think you’d like to hear to rope you into a contract that gouges you until the very end** The model we looked at was completely different than the one we actually got. After vacuuming, it was clear the apartment wasn’t very clean before we moved our things in. The ...oven & proving drawer were still dirty (with crumbs, black stuff & dirt in both). There were little specks of white paint all over the wood floor that wouldn’t come up even after scrubbing for a year that gave the effect of a dirty floor 24/7. When we put in that we weren’t renewing our lease, they charged us for a “deep cleaning” fee for the carpets, which again were literally dirty when we moved in. The tan paint is poorly, quickly done & all over the walls. I hung a mirror over the door & moved it only after a week or so & it had stuck to the paint. After just 1 month of living there, 9 months of construction ensued with roofers, woodworkers, painters, etc. creating constant noise, a shortage of places to park & just chaos for the 9/12 months we were there. A couple of months after we moved in, there were issues with our toilet & we had to have someone come fix it. About once a month, we would continue to have issues with our toilet but after an incident where I (female) called the maintenance crew to explain the issue, I was asked if I plunged it, I had, so I asked if they could call a plumber or if I was supposed to. The guy laughed at me, asked if I used tampons (I don’t btw) & said that they can only plunge the toilets. It wasn’t until my boyfriend came home on his break from work and called that they said they could come later in the day and brought in a plunger & large metal pole that they used for about 30 minutes before anything happened. After that, we never called maintenance. When they were painting, we didn’t know if we should keep the birds nest up that had been there since we moved in, but after they had already painted it, they just tore it down anyways and left the old paint spot there. They painted the doors, but only to the seal & only on the outside so they have a really weird, uneven appearance now.Property Manager Responded

We' re sorry that your apartment wasn't thoroughly cleaned before move-in and that the condition of the unit didn’t meet expectations. This is certainly not the experience we want our residents to have, and we have since hired a new professional cleaning service who has the upmost attention to detail. Our Clean Move service is designed to take the burden off of our residents, meaning you do not have to worry about sweeping, mopping, or deep cleaning the carpets at your move out! We have found this allows our residents to focus on the things that are most important to them while getting into their new homes! Regarding the maintenance issues, we sincerely apologize for the frustration and poor ...communication you encountered at the beginning of your stay with us. Our team is trained to handle requests in a timely and respectful manner, and we regret that you did not feel this was the case. We will be addressing your experience with the maintenance team to ensure this doesn't happen again. We also understand that ongoing construction can be disruptive, and we apologize for the noise and inconvenience this caused during your stay. While we strive to improve the property, we are aware that the timing and execution of these projects should be communicated better to minimize disruption to our residents. We truly appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention, and we will be working hard to improve in these areas moving forward.
