Please do not waste your money moving here. My room was a shoe box compared to all the others in the house (even though I was told all rooms are the same size), yet i was paying the same amount. The floor was disgusting and even had gum in it. The management was horrible in terms of their attitude and deceptiveness. I was lied to several times by them and they’re just plain rude. I have lived at the retreat for 4 years and the roommates that I got randomly matched with have become my very best friends and family. The staff is so welcoming and helpful! My maintenance man Steven always has a smile on his face and does job well. The amenities have been pretty good too. I enjoy using the 2 story gym when I can, and the pool is nice during the summer. Thanks Retreat!

Best place to live near VT

The Retreat isn't like other apartments in Blacksburg. These are little houses. There's backyards & large grass areas for neighbor games and socializing. The pool is awesome and the sauna & golf are great too. They have a big clubhouse with free coffee & snacks & they office staff are wonderful to talk too. Maintenance is quick to fix anything and I would recommend this place to anyone!

The cottages are the best

I lived in apartments on Patrick Henry last year & I'm glad that me & my roommates moved to the retreat. The cottage feels like home & it's really nice to have a community of neighbors around. The gym is opened 24/7 & I like that I can go get free starbucks in the middle of the night. It's the best place to live by far!
