Great Community!
August 25, 2020I've lived here 2 years and I've been really happy, planning to renew again! Even during COVID, they've had really fun and unique resident events that have been virtual and some that are social distanced. Like free food trucks, virtual bingo, and they've even brought goodies to my door! Maintenance is so good and fast, everything done the same day and the office staff is really friendly and goes out of their way to help with whatever questions I have. My apartment is really clean and quiet ...and a really good price, especially compared to the other apartments around us. I highly recommend my apartments to everyone!Property Manager Responded

Worst Experience AVOID
June 8, 2018Seemed great until I had a problem with a money situation I was going to be late on rent and I informed them ahead of time Instead of working with me they immediately started throwing around eviction warnings. Now it also comes to the late fees I was aware there were going to be late fees I am not dumb but I only had the money to take care of the full rent but not the fees Like I said I got into a bind with money. So here is my problem I let them know I am getting another check in the next week ...and wanted to know if I could pay the late fees them for I hadnt gotten a check in 3 weeks and I was catching up on all of my bills. The lady told me that I should have not been able to pay without the fees and that I will still get fees at $10 a day until I pay the fees although my rent is paid in full fees should only be applied if rent is not paid... now ill be put more in a bind... Wasp removal requestS under stairs were ignored. Daughter and dog were stung.
August 5, 2017I've gone to the front office to inform them of wasps under the stairs in July, I was told they'll be sure to take care of it, but request was ignored. Nest was still there. Days later I've phoned them to put in a work order because the nest had become much larger, said they'll take care of it, okay, cool but it was forgotten and ignored. Messaged them again, their response, "Thank you for letting us know. Our pest control just came today so this should be completed. He sprays them and leaves ...the nest so that any of them that return will eat the poison. Please let us know if more come back though!" They NEVER got rid of them. I see them every day that I gotta take my dog down the stairs, my dog was stung on balls.. Twice. I messaged them and it and left me on read. Today, my daughter was also stung twice on the arm. So my husband got rid of the nest himself. Had enough of their bullshit, "we'll get rid of it". The new management is never ending changing here and this one SUCKS this time. Disappointing. Please avoid at all costs.
August 3, 2016Short: Don’t deal with this leasing company. They are the absolute bottom of the bucket when it comes to honesty, ethics, and accountability. They lie, cheat, and steal very literally from their customers. Don’t be fooled and pay the price like I did. They are scammers. Just stay away. Long: My roommate and I toured the place, and Taylor gave us our options for apartments that would be available on August 27th. We submitted our application online that same day. $280 in fees. On June 30th, ...Taylor emails us the approval of our application and the lease contract documents. But when I went to read and sign the documents the next day, I noticed that the move in date had been changed to September 10th. I called and Taylor picked up. She didn't apologize or explain. She just said "Well... we have this other apartment available on August 31st." That was the last day of my lease. I said I would think about it. I went online to check on my application. The move in date was changed... 5 minutes ago, while we were on the phone. I would not have paid almost $300 to apply for an apartment I can't move into before my current lease ended. I applied for an apartment with the understanding that the move in date was August 27th. Then, they just changed it without telling me at all. On July 7th, my roommate went in person to the office. Again, no apology or explanation. All Taylor said was that she could offer us that other apartment on August 31st. My roommate agreed, so Taylor said she would send the lease right away. July 19th, the lease is finally sent to us. The next day, Taylor calls me and leaves a voicemail saying I need to sign the lease by the end of the business day today or she's canceling us. To call me in less than a single day demanding that I sign the lease immediately is simply rude. If the email presenting us with our new lease counts as an approval of our second application, then according to the email itself, we should have 3 days to look over and sign the lease. Instead, Taylor made me feel like they were holding us hostage. This company has repeatedly deceived us and made false promises without delivering. They don't own up to their mistakes at all. They lie and cheat in order to scam people out of their application money. This company is a sham, and they have wasted so much of my time, energy, and patience. Would live here again
January 7, 2016Spent three years here in two different apartments. Clean, well kept, new appliances and close to commuter routes. No problems with neighbors. Parking, however, was a joke. As a paramedic I worked late hours and at certain times of night, either because of parties or the small size of the lot (never figured out which) sometimes I would wind up clear across the property. Even when they implemented an electronic gate strangers would piggy-back on real residents opening the gate to get in. That ...said, never felt unsafe, maybe just a little crowded. August 11, 2015Easy online application process. The staff is very responsive to any issues. Walls are pretty thick. I don't hear any noise from neighbors. Pool area is great! Nice Place to Live
July 20, 2015I moved here 11 months ago and cannot be happier that I signed a lease with Marquis at Tech Ridge. If not because I'm being transferred outside of Austin, I would be extending my lease for few more years. The apartment is nice inside and outside, they maintain the landscape, and apartment facilities and enforce tenants to keep the ground and units clean. In general, the apartment is quiet, however since my unit is facing the pool area, sometimes the pool can get crowded and people can get loud ...too around the pool. Also there is an engine that runs the pool's fountain, it can be annoying as the engine is running all day. Maintenance is a breeze. During the span of 11 months, I've never had any major issue with maintenance. So far I only submitted for replacement on toilet seat, smoke detector battery, and kitchen light bulb, in which they completed within few hours after I submitted the request. Leasing office is awesome too! Jade, Katie, and Jaime, they are always helpful and try to assist your needs. On top of that this apartment is very safe. I can walk outside in the dark without feeling uncomfortable and I haven't seen anything that make me feel alarmed. And just to let you know, several times I accidentally left my apartment unlocked, and when I came back nothing happened to the apartment - not saying that I'm hoping for something to happen, but this is just to give you an idea on how safe the apartment complex is. The apartment is conveniently located on Parmer. While it can be quite an effort coming home from work if you need to go down Parmer as there is an epic u-turn you have to deal with just to get to the apartment (I'm hoping they will build an entrance to Center Lake Dr in the near future so you don't have to go down to the red light for u-turn), I still think the apartment is located at the center of everything, though. HEB is across the street, Target, Sears, Petsmart, Starbucks, and a bunch of restaurants are within walking distance. I-35 is very close by and Mopac is only few miles away. In summary I'm a happy resident and I'm sure I will miss it when I move out. The only reason I didn't put 5 star is because during my move-in date, the apartment was not properly cleaned. It seemed they just installed a brand new microwave and debris were on the kitchen counter top that I had to clean them all myself. But, all in all, I highly recommend Marquis at Tech Ridge for your next home.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
