Upon moveout, they require a professional carpet cleaning. This can be done through their $225 express cleaning fee, which I paid a few days before moving out. I then got a final account statement with the express cleaning fee showing it was unpaid. They gave a contact from West Shore to dispute any charges but if payment wasn't made in 10 days they would send you to a debt collector. updated final account statement without the express cleaning fee which I paid. Turns out they still sent me to the debt collector for the express cleaning fee and other charges on the final account statement. After having the office contact the debt collector 5 times to get them to close the account I finally gave up and just paid the debt collector so I wouldn't have anything show on my credit report. The office is horrible at resolving issues like this. Also, my garbage disposal never worked after they tried to fix it 4 times.
