Decent start to indy

As my first apartment living alone it is affordable and area is decent, but it is old, maintenance is slow and lazy, the shared washers are half broken. They do a nice job of making sure the area is clean, landscaping is nice. Though for my move in date, I show up, and the apartment is a mess, carpet not cleaned yet, and stains everywhere, classic white paint (I didn't have a "new renovated unit"). The water boiler went out once a month and my ceiling was leaking water from a above units' ...
dishwasher and they took a whole month to fix the hole from it. It is close to broad ripple for dates, food and grocery and an easy drive to downtown for work or campus IU/Purdue. I stayed 2 years and wish i found a new place after first lease.

Where do I start? I new management is horrible. They lack compassion and do not listen to concerns. They also are fixing up the property on the exterior but they are not fixing the major issues. I have been living here for almost four years and I have had horrible issues with the plumbing. I have had several water leaks. One in the kitchen and I lost count of how many I have had in the bathroom. One night it was leaking so bad I emptied 8 buckets of water. I called on-call maintenance and they ...
didn't come until 10am the next day and I could not use my toilet because the water was leaking above my toilet. It was the only toilet I have and I have a child. I also have had ongoing issues with my refrigerator which I have put in a lot of work orders for. They come and "fix" it and I still have to throw food away because it does not regulate temperature correctly. Then there is the oven. You cannot even bake anything in it because it does not work correctly. Also they left me without a furnace for 2 weeks one winter. Then when they finally put a new one in it kept breaking down. Also if you want a non-smoking place do not move here. I could go on with the numerous amount of issues I have had here but there is not enough room to write it in here.

My first place on my own

I moved into broad ripple trails right after my divorce and it was my first time being on my own. Plus, being a first time single mother it was a great way to start the new chapter in our lives. Maintenance staff were quick and very handy, office staff were nice and always ready to assist my needs. With the cookouts and pools we had so much to do at this complex. So grateful for this place and all it did for my new beginning.

I picked this place solely for it's location and price. It's only a ~4 minute walk away from the Monon trail, and it's close to so many shops and restaurants in the area. Plus the office staff have always been helpful and friendly.

I’ve lived here for about 6 months now and don’t have any issues or regrets. The neighbors are quiet, they keep everything clean and up to date and respond very quickly to issues! Highly recommended

Please do your self a favor and just dont. I have 4 neighbors that also hate it here and are counting down the days to the end of their lease. It's been a nightmare. 3 months or so and we are able to finally move out of this hell hole. I lived in an apartment almost 2.5 times the size of this place and my electricity bill is almost 3x as much. They love to put bandaids on things and make excuses. We moved into a filthy apartment, the furnace sucked, the ac has been a nightmare and a half, they ...
don't take care of their wood floors, nothing. We have received no genuine apologies, no compensation, no nothing. Gabriel is the property manager and he is difficult to get ahold of, difficult to talk to, and down right rude. The two new ladies in the front office are sweet as pie! but that's the only thing I like about this place. Don't buy a bunch of apartments if you cant properly bring them up to par.

And I will not be making this mistake again. Where should I begin? In the year that I've lived here I've received 2 emails from management stating to be safe because there have been cars broken into the previous night. My car wasn't part of those two original warnings. However, last night there were 6... SIX cars broken into, my car being one of them! There are no security cameras and apparently no officer patrolling because I have a car alarm and I assume the officer would have heard it, or the ...
other 5 cars getting broken into!! In 1 year this complex has had 3 instances of break-ins and still offers no security.
They pool was shut down during a majority of the summer due to a D-rating from the health inspector. You often have to walk 100 yards to your car because the parking situation is laughable. They don't have an electronic payment system so you can't set up reoccurring payments, but have to walk your check into their drop-box. It's 2018, who doesn't have an online payment system!?!
They adhere to the policy of raising rent just enough so that residents will renew and not deal with the hassle of moving. They said my apartment - basement, no patio/balcony, next to boiler room, out-of-date appliances - has increased in value by $50 and my rent was increasing as such. They are banking that residents will just pay the increase.
I would not wish it upon my worst enemy to live in these apartments. They are a joke of an establishment and I would recommend that everyone look elsewhere.

This place is awful to rent from. The office messed up on our payments multiple times applying it to the wrong account. Their maintenance fixes are shotty quick fixes that cause more problems later. They try to weasel any bit of extra money they can from you. Their apartments have a bad case of ants and even mice at times. The windows are paper This and cost you a ton in heating and air. They also only have on vent per room right by their paper This windows so it's even more of a strain to keep ...
the place climate controlled. This place is cheap but they continue to raise the rent year after year. Due to their location even though you are closer to the bad neighborhood than the good. My neighbors and I's car were constantly getting hit and runned. The staff will mislead you constantly and tell you incorrect information which ends up costing you money in fees. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My boyfriend and I were on a long hunt for a house, but in this area homes go so fast! Broad Ripple Trails came to the rescue! They set us up with a beautiful, spacious, 3 bedroom townhome with only a week left before we needed to move! Moving from a house back to an apartment wasn't the ideal move for us, but we are more than satisfied with our new home! beautiful neighborhood, and great neighbors!
