Take the 1.2 Rating Seriously

As a current resident, I strongly encourage anyone considering CW Cypresswood to take its 1.2 rating seriously and look beyond the website photos, move-in specials, and advertised amenities.
The pool has been closed since early May, it is now late July and management has still not provided residents with a clear explanation, consistent updates, or a dependable reopening date. More than a year ago, I personally reported problems with the gym weights to the leasing office. The issue was never properly resolved, and another recent resident review now mentions the same problem. Management also sent a notice in early spring promising to pressure wash the hallways, stairs, and common areas. That never happened. These areas remain dirty and neglected, with accumulated spider webs, bugs, and grime.
The lack of accountability is just as concerning as the maintenance problems. Residents receive conflicting answers, vague excuses, or no response at all. When people post negative reviews, management responds with generic messages telling them to contact the same onsite office they have already contacted repeatedly without results.
Meanwhile, full rent continues to be collected and the property continues advertising amenities that residents cannot reliably use. Before signing a lease, insist on personally seeing the pool, fitness center, hallways, and stairwells. Ask management to put in writing which amenities are currently available and when any closed or broken amenities will be restored. Do not rely solely on what is advertised online.
Based on my experience as a resident, I would not recommend signing a lease here under the current management. The 1.2 rating is not an exaggeration—it reflects serious and ongoing problems with maintenance, communication, and accountability.
