Terrible Management Company
February 5, 2024Please heed caution before scheduling an appointment to view with this company. I responded to a post for a one bedroom apartment and scheduled an appointment with "Lucas" for a viewing. When I showed up at the time, the person at the front desk told me the property manager wasn't there to show me the apartment. I asked if that was Lucas - she said no, Lucas is AI that does automatic scheduling for them. I asked why their AI would schedule me a time when the property manager wasn't even there, ...she said she didnt know. So then I asked if I could just look at the apartment myself - she said in theory yes, but the apartment isnt actually on the market. I asked about other apartments but she had no information and said I needed to talk with the property manager - who, again, was not there even though I had scheduled an appointment. So I basically wasted time off work plus Uber fare because this company, Akelius, either has an AI that schedules viewings when no one is there to show the apartment or has a property manager that doesnt bother to look at appointments their AI has booked. Either way this obviously does not instill confidence in the competence of this company and I am grateful to have dodged a bullet. I advise everyone considering this building to say very far away.Property Manager Responded

Comfortable but not luxurious
August 14, 2015This is a great place to live but not a forever home. Staff is mostly friendly. It is an older building so you'll be dealing with what comes with that. Maintenance is very attentive but can sometimes take a while to fix what you need. It's in a nice neighborhood with a lot nearby.Review from Apartments.com
The Calvert Woodley
August 10, 2015We've lived in this building for about ten years. The location cannot be beat, it's a block and a half from the metro, plenty of bus stops (including the Circulator) and you can easlily walk to DuPont, Adams Morgan, Cleveland Park, etc. for great restaurants, bars, shopping. The building itself is older and has gone through ownership and management changes over the years. The apartments are very large, with windows that run the length of your living and bedroom spaces. Negatives: no in ...suite washer and dryer, some apartments still have older appliances. Positives: pet friendly, centrally located in fantastic neighborhood.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
