WARNING - PLACE INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS
June 23, 2023Review: One star because zero is not an option from this website. I regretfully rented an apartment at Canterbury Apartments, and I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my stay was. The bedbug infestation in this place was an absolute nightmare! It was the most harrowing experience of my life, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. The several attempts of Orkin at extermination were ineffective, as the bedbugs would return within days. It was as if the entire complex was a breeding ground ...for these vile creatures. It was a never-ending cycle of frustration and sleepless nights. Living in such conditions had a severe impact on my physical and mental well-being. Sleep became a luxury, as I constantly worried about being attacked by these persistent pests. My overall quality of life was severely compromised. Adding insult to injury, the management displayed a complete lack of empathy and accountability. They brushed off my concerns and offered no compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused instead they send me the treatment bill to pay. It was disheartening to witness such disregard for their tenants' well-being. I strongly advise anyone considering renting at Canterbury Apartments to look elsewhere. This bedbug infestation is not an isolated incident; it has been happening since 2000 as Orkin documents proof that it's a pervasive problem that management seems unwilling to tackle effectively. Spare yourself the misery, sleepless nights, and the financial burden of replacing infested belongings. Trust me, you deserve better than this wretched living nightmare. You get what you pay for...
May 14, 2023The apartments are old and outdated. The walls and floor are paper thin (I can hear my downstairs neighbors having a conversation, not yelling just talking). The appliances are from the 1970's and in need of repairs (sealers are worn out, cabinets need repair). They claim to be smoke-free, but that is only certain buildings. Make sure to specify if you come to look at the apartments. The smell of cigarettes and marijuana permeate my apartment. 1 wall A/C unit per apartment. Kinda gross
April 13, 2022I went there yesterday and I had to knock on the locked leasing door several times before some came. Then was handed a folder and keys through the door and told to walk over by myself. Building smelt like smoke, cabinets were falling off, bugs in the corner, no tracks on the closet doors, sliding patio door wouldn't open, nothing was very clean, and it was set up as if it were straight out of the 90's. October 25, 2019I pre-arranged a time for a tour of an upcoming apartment with this company several days in advance. When I arrived, the person forgot they had spoken to me and told me that they can't let me see the unit. I was instead given a verbal description and a pamphlet with information that is already available online. If they disrespect an applicant like this, I can only imagine what it is like being a tenant. Canterbury going downhill fast
July 30, 2018I've lived in Canterbury for 5 years. The buildings and plumbing are deteriorating rapidly. If you like bathing in dirty water this place is for you. The parking is terrible. They will tow your car in a heart beat. Hint: to a shady auto tower/recovery service. Property manager knows about the issues, but will not correct them. The property manager is constantly in crisis mode. Do not trust management here!,, Police activity around the complex is very high. The rent is to high for this ...substandard complex. Small space
May 1, 2018There are not walk in closets. Yes the price is fair and depending on what building u live in the grounds are kept. People are not friendly. Most are plain weird. Had an old woman grab my son. Hes 3. You can hear everything in the apartment above you. Dog poop everywhere. Heat may be free but only worls in one room of apartment. Calling management they were condisending of my complaint of dog poop. Which is whatever but to have dangerous objects sticking from tjr groind that i needed to provide ...pictures of and still 4 days wemt by and it wasn't removed i did it myself. The best value in Nashua in my opinion

I would be hard pressed to find a better place to live in the same price range. Sure the buildings are not new but the space is massive, well kept, and affordable. August 7, 2015Canterbury has gotten a bad rep lately, but it all depends on which building you live. In 51; it's quite, people are nice. Recommended - Very good for the price...
July 23, 2015Convenient access to Route 3, DW Highway shopping and Massachusetts. All apartments are roomy and have a balcony or patio. All buildings are being newly modernized complete with energy efficient windows and sliders. As of July 2015, work is mostly completed. Office and maintenance staff are friendly and professional.
