September 8, 2015I've lived her for 6 years. There is many pros and cons here is short list. Pros: Area is family friendly. They fix problems with the apartments, might take them a while sometimes but they get fixed. The staff is friendly and easy to approach. The apartments are kept pretty clean for the most part. Another pro is they don't raise the rent much only twice in almost 7 years pretty good if you ask me. Cons: The parking is a nightmare, you can only reverse out of your parking spot since there isn't ...enough room. The laundromat is horrible, machines are always broken. Once in a while they get fixed and broken again. Owner is too cheap to replace them, doesn't care how many times people complain about this. The front get is closed sometimes and delivery people can't get in sometimes which results in packages not being delivered. Overall, it's just okay. Cheap place to live in Downey, however, might not be cheap for long since it is going to be half a block away from the new Downey promenade.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
