June 27, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comI submitted an online application on June 24, 2024 after receiving a quote explaining I had until June 26th to lease the apartment. Someone named Avis phoned me while I was in the process of completing the app and informed me that once the screening process was completed she would call me with further details. I never received that call. I paid a $55 non-refundable app fee in which I received an email receipt, but no other form of contact has been made. May 20, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comI applied and paid online on May 6th. I moved in on May 13th. The move in process was pretty easy and the staff is very friendly. There are 2 pools. There is also a very clean gym. The apartment was clean. Everything works except for the dishwasher. Update: May 20th. The dishwasher still doesn’t work. I called the office and asked what time it will be replaced this week, and they said, “We haven’t ordered it because we are still getting things situated.” So, the dishwasher hasn’t been ...operable since I moved in, which has been a full week now. Roach Infestation
August 5, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comI am just moving to New Orleans from Dallas,Tx. On 7/31 I walked into the office as my roommate awaited. Before doing a viewing first we was rushed to get a money order and finish finalizing the signing. The viewing was very short and fast. We wasn’t given any Walkthrough paperwork at any point of the viewing(she made us sign before the viewing apparently). Once we made it back to the office to receive our keys and email the renters insurance conformation we then when back to the apartment to do ...a thorough cleaning. Ten minutes into cleaning we noticed roaches being in between door wedges, in the carpet and even under the baseboards. We pulled the fridge out and roaches start running everywhere. We immediately recognized this apartment has an infestation and then notified our leasing consultant within the 1st hour of living there. She offered to send pest control the next day on 08/01. The next day pest control came spending just 2-3 mins spraying only along the baseboards roaches we back out within 2 hours I loaded up on roach sprays and killed at least 40 roaches that day. First night we noticed all the gaps in between the flooring and walls throughout the place where alot were coming from. Also there is a big opening in the ceiling that house the water heater. That opening exposes us to more insects and the rotten insulation falling from the roof of the building onto the water heater. From that point we realized this apartment wasn’t sealed well and was to hazardous to live in. While waiting for the weekend to pass I sent over emails of photos and videos of the conditions. Monday August 5 I was contacted by the office; they send pest control again. 2 hours after STILL roaches. I informed the office after two pest control visits in 3 days roaches are still all over the apartment. I asked for a refund and she told me no she can’t then called her property manager from his office. After listening abc going over the infestation through pictures via email he refused to refund me offering I stay there 30 days and he waive the cancellation fee but I still have to pay rent and won’t get my money back for me to find somewhere else to live.Read More
