Very happy in our new apartment
May 1, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comThere's now new management for Cayo Grande since we originally toured the property and then decided to move here. There were a few items we needed maintenance to take care of, and he was very prompt in taking care of everything. It's very quiet here for an apartment setting. We have never heard our neighbors, just water from flushing a toilet or the washing machine draining. We are right at one of the 2 pools and there's little noise from there. Traffic noise is very minimal as well. Grocery ...stores are nearby, as are numerous other shopping stores. We definitely made the right choice in moving here.Read More

February 20, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comWhen I moved in 08/2024 the bathrooms and kitchen had to be cleaned as there was dirt, dust, grime etc. The toilet tanks had black mold growing in them. I took care of it with bleach tablets. The toilet bowls had built up of the same when cleaned where the water enters the bowl. There were these teeny tiny barely able to see bugs in my sinks around my sinks and showers in the bathroom. They told me it was a Florida native bug and it’s because I stir them up by walking through the bushes… pest ...control sprayed. It took care of it for a month or so but they keep returning.. I’m a clean freak and I hate seeing them. It grosses me out. I started smelling an animal urine type smell in all my lower kitchen cabinets (my animals do not use the bathroom in the kitchen or outside of the litter box, outside yard, etc. They sprayed something in them but it returned a month or so later so they sprayed it again. Well it returned… I found mold on my appliances in that drawer. I sent them pictures. They said they’d check the whole kitchen. They said I had a dishwasher leak and they sealed it but when I got home I saw mold next to the drawer with the smell. So how did they not see that if they checked my whole kitchen and how does a dishwasher on the other side of the kitchen that I didn’t even notice leaking and it didn’t smell cause the returning smell in the cabinets and drawers on the other side of the kitchen?? So I said screw this, let me take this drawer out and look under it for the source of the smell since I can’t remove the cabinets and find the smell… I found trash from the previous tenants… I then sent them a picture of the mold next to the drawer and the trash and the following morning found mold in my bathroom (which just had a leak where the toilet overflowed to the bedroom and the person told me I shouldn’t worry about the water going under the baseboards it’ll evaporate.. okay.. They said they would come back the next day to look at my whole apartment. When I got home the trash, the drawer, and the mold was still present. There was not a note saying they’d been there but my doorbell camera shows they were. So I have now sprayed bleach, cleaned it all up myself, and got a dehumidifier. I am frustrated that things are not properly looked at and solved. It’s just a temporary fix. We do enjoy the pools when they are warm and are thankful for the maintenance they have done when I’ve requested a ceiling fan to be removed and they do respond quickly.Read More

Cayo Grande Review
August 28, 2023 - Review from Apartments.comI lived in this apartment for five years for the price alone. The first few years the apartment was great. The last few years, not so much. The turnover of management has affected a lot. Military members be aware that anytime there is a BAH raise, the apartment complex will match it as soon as your lease is due to renew. The rental office does not answer the phone throughout the day you will have to go in person or email. Even then it’s a stretch for the response. Also when you start a lease, ...they don’t release the keys until the afternoon 1pm- 4pm (they open at 9am) even though you are paying for the entire day. If you break a lease, don’t forget in addition to the breakage fee, there is an additional $150 fee for no reason other than early termination. Also, mold is a big issue in these apartments since hurricane Sally. You can paint over it but it never gets rid of it. Even though you are paying for the electric, just know there is a certain temp the apartment requires you to keep the AC at to prevent mold and this goes against the FPL electric recommendations. I lived in two apartments in this complex and both had mold issues. Interesting enough during this time I developed cardiac and respiratory issues…The second apartment, I was charged for the mold issues. So regardless of the type of mold, they expect you to clean it…also, the mail boxes were broke for months with no notification from the office. The only notification was two months later when the boxes were fixed. In the meantime you had to go get your mail from the post office. There was also a shooting this year with no comment other than “don’t worry about it “ from the office saying there was no threat. for anyone looking for a place to live, you can do better than this place…trust me.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

July 7, 2021 - Review from Apartments.comAll in all it's not bad. Apartments are being remodeled as they come available, and they are redoing the outside of the buildings. The biggest issue I see is the residents. In general, it seems many people that live here are just plain inconsiderate! Trash left in common areas, dog poop not picked up, revving engines in the middle of the night, trash and vandalism in the elevators. I can't for the life of me figure out why people don't take pride in where they live. A complex this size should ...really consider a roving patrol or security cameras. Additionally, they should really start holding people that don't follow community rules accountable for their actions.Read More

That it was from windows No reimbursement mold in the storage closet nothing could be kept. Old carpet , appliances bathroom chubs and fixtures poor management dog poop everywhere kids playing on the tennis courts. Old cars left in parking are . Broken tiles by the pool!

To all of the people that are complaining about “mold” seems like they aren’t from Florida where it’s humid and you have to stay on top of cleaning your home and windows/doors
